Some I have seen recently:

I think I might have posted this already but:

- City of God -- VERY good, but kind of disturbing also (in a social climate kind of way, lol).

Also:

- Roger Dodger - So hard to explain, but this movie was GREAT. It's about this neurotic dude who kind of overanalyzes everything, but is still so apathetic. LOL, see it is hard...but tight work nonetheless.

- Equilibrium - I just saw this last night. This movie was THE BOMB. It has Christian Bale (American Psycho) and TAYE DIGGS. It was pretty deep and had better fight scenes than the Matrix, imo.

- Bend it Like Beckham - SOOO good. I think it is still in theatres (I saw it in the theater last week). It's a coming-of-age movie about his Indian girl who plays soccer. I know the premise sounds really sucky and random but trust me, this movie is GOOD!

I watched "High Crimes" with Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman the other night, I was pleasantly suprised! I really enjoyed that movie.

I think my favorite suspense movie of ALLLLLL time would be "The Usual Suspects".....I have to get that on tape/DVD.

Pirates of the Carribean was the most recent good movie that I have seen. And I thought it was going to be stupid.

I had to think on this.....

Frida and Monsoon Wedding were the last 2 movies I saw.

For those who like visually pleasing movies, I think this was on e of the best. The colors were dynamic!!!

Frida was so profound and sad to me. In my studies I learned about Frida Kahlo and appreciated her guts and honesty which was displayed often times in her works. I found myself sad because some of the feelings she dealt with mirrored my own life.

I appreciated also that she was a woman who lived her life on her terms!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. That movie totally surprised me.

Darling1: wasn't Monsoon Wedding wonderful?! If you liked that one, see if you can get your hands on a copy of Bollywood/Hollywood. It takes place among the Indo-Canadian community in Toronto. It's a really good story with lots of great music.

I just rented "Head of State" with Chris Rock. It was pretty alright.

For something more serious I recently saw "Phone Booth" which was excellent; unlike any movie I've ever seen.

What? That mess was pure de trash, IMO. The only time you see Keifer was at the end. So, I take it there will be another Phone Booth.

HATED IT!
