I think it's a no brainer. The game was played perfectly by one.

But, Survivor history doesn't mean the "perfect player" wins.

Wow...Phillip. Tanked jury. I figured he'd at least try and convince them that his persona was a put-on to get to the end.

David: +2 for the Monty Python quote on top of pretty much summing it up.

Part of me is glad Rob won, so he'll stop being on Survivor.

I think he was done either way. It sounded like he wasn't really all that thrilled at the idea of coming back to begin with.

I was going to come say that I didn't remember Carolina from Tocantins, but that would be because I looked it up and she was voted off first. I thought she was getting ready to say no.

And bringing two MORE back, really??

Any guesses as to who? Matt maybe?

Matt was my first thought. I wonder if he'd do it again.
If it's Russell, I'll be sooooooo disappointed.

I hated that Andrea won the RI duel. I lost a lot of interest in watching after that. But, it was obvious as soon as that duel was over who I was pulling for, so at least I wasn't conflicted any more.

Final tribal was interesting. I kinda felt bad for Phillip, with all the personal attacks thrown at him. Sure, he brought it on himself, but still... to be called "shameful" is sad. I was surprised that he got Ralph's vote.

All things considered, it was a good season, I think.

Why Boston Rob won, IMO.

Because his teammates made a big mistake: They thought Rob was the new Russell. They thought, just like with Russell's seasons, that if they went with BR to the final 3, the jury would vote to give them the money instead of BR because they didn't like him. In Russell's final 3, the juries would have given the money to Charles Manson before they gave it to Russell and I think BR's teammates thought the same would happen with them.

^^BR said that part of his strategy was to tell people that the jury would never give him the money...and I think he would have been right had he been sitting next to ANYONE else, except maybe Ashley. I personally didn't see why Rob was more threatened by Ashley more than Natalie. Ashley won one more personal immunity than Natalie, but other than that, their game was identical. Maybe because he thought Ashley had the older/wiser thing going and thought she would perform better for the jury. Rob said she also made better relationships with those on the jury, but if so, that didn't make the edit we saw.

Speaking of Ashley and jury, that #4 jury spot always seems to be overly aggressive with their "questions". I get that it's usually someone who thought they had a F3 alliance, only to find out they didn't, but wow, some of them get nasty.

Did anyone see a final vote count? Did it end up being 8-1 for Rob? I assume if it wasn't, the non-Rob votes would have gotten higher in the stack and been read...

I thought that Natalie's and Phillip's arguments for winning in front of the jury were two of the weakest I've ever seen. Rob's speech said everything that it is supposed to. If anybody was even on the fence before those speeches, surely after hearing Natalie's and Phillip's praise of Rob convinced them to vote his way.

He helped vote Francesca off, but yeah -- that was it.

I have a lot of questions about what goes on at RI. I believe they said that the people there are provided with everything the camp has. Does that mean food? What kinds of food? How much are they having to work together to get food, cook, etc.? The shelter was clearly there for them already so they didn't have to work on building that.
They get rice and the like just like the tribes.

Once Matt was out, I was so hoping that Rob would take Philip to the end, just because I wanted to see him in front of the jury. He didn't disappoint. Even when Andrea tried to help him out, he blew it. He and Natalie both completely blew it -- not that they had much chance to begin with. David's summation to the jury was spot on.

And bless Ralph's heart -- he can't even spell "Phil."

From this season, I think Matt, David and Mike are the most likely possibilities. From earlier seasons, I can see them bringing Jane back.

I could deal with Matt & Jane. Someone on Survivor's FB page said they clearly saw Matt in the previews. David's (World's Most Awkward) proposal makes him a prime candidate as well. Maybe him and Carolina met at the audition for the former cast for next season?

I don't think they've started filming yet, so the "previews" were just taken from existing footage and are likely pretty much meaningless -- much like the "previews" for the recently completed season of The Amazing Race were.

And could you hear me screaming as Russell sort-of, kind-of took back his promise never to play the game again? Please, just no.

I've finally figured it out! All season, I've looked at Andrea and thought, "Who the hell does she remind me of?" ... Her sad puppy dog faces, combined with her confused glares had me thinking that I had seen her somewhere before. And then I realized...

Jumping in late here...

I was glad Matt didn't make it to the jury. Based on the reasons he was voted out- especially the second time- he didn't give any reason for me to believe that he was capable (at least in this season) of sticking around. Matt was naive, gullible, and honest. Nice guy, for sure, but not for the big leagues. If they brought him back, I would hope he's watched this season & learned from his mistakes so he can shake things up. Otherwise, he had better be voted off ASAP.

Not a fan of the producers shoving religion down our throats this season, either. Some here and there is fine, and it obviously did play a big part for some people. I liked when what's-her-name gave Matt her bible, when Mike gave family visit time to the tribe because he thought it was the right thing to do, etc. But they played it up way too much with Matt, that's all we ever heard from him. Maybe that's all he ever talked about, I don't know- but producers choose their footage carefully and they obviously decided to play it up big this season.

Phillip and Natalie go down as the best cheerleaders in F3 history. I don't think they gave the jury any other option.

Phillip was a disappointment. He made a comment a few episodes back about how he was playing a role and being a villain, and it sounded like he was sane for a moment. I was desperately hoping that he was acting the entire time and would suddenly be coherant, thoughtful, witty, and charming at the jury. Long shot, I know!

Redemption Island would've been more interesting to me if it wasn't always the same person winning and if they brought people back more often (to change it up).

I also really missed the reward challenges- I love Survivor Auction! I don't think they've had it for a couple of seasons, and the last one or two were kind of boring. Having two challenges adds more complexity to the game, different types of strategizing, and more interesting rewards.
