Wow, just totally realized there was a thread about FN. Is Triple-D awesome or what? I envy Guy for getting to travel the entire country and eat a ton of outstanding food.

That is probably the only show on Food Network that I truly can't stand. Guy F gets on my every last nerve.
Yeah, I know . . . I'm one of the few. But I tend not to like the shows that are primarily watching the host(s) eat food, however awesome it supposedly is. I like the shows that will teach me about cooking good food.

Love Triple D. If DH and I are in a city, we try to check out a restaurant that was featured on the show

just read through this entire thread.
Like: Sandra Lee (don't ask me why, she's Way Out There and I guess it's mostly because I don't know anyone like her), the Pioneer Woman, Trisha Yearwood, Paula Deen (I'm seeing a pattern here!).
Guy F. makes me laugh. His hair. His HAIR. And his manic energy. He can eat all those weird foods in all those places, and I'll live vicariously through his exploits. Agree with MC - I prefer the shows that teach me something, however, so won't go out of my way to watch Guy F.
Dislike: well, I'll watch anything on there once, but after ten minutes, if it doesn't capture my interest, it's off. So, consequently, nothing much to list in this column.
eta: about Giada's Big Mouth, I know a woman whose mouth is much larger than hers. When she grins, it's more like a grimace. Seriously.

I am totally with you! My husband thinks it is funny how much I detest Guy. I even refuse to say his name right. The sun glasses, the d-bag hair, the grotesque eating and talking at the same time. I want him to DIE! (Not really, but you get the point.)

I'm seeing all these new shows and frankly, none of them catch my interest whatsoever. The one show that irritated me beyond all others is Bitchin Kitchen. Ugh! The hostess should realize that pretending to act edgy does not make your cooking bitchin.

I was trying to figure out how I hadn't heard of this one, but it's because it's on Cooking Channel, not FN.
I'm looking forward to the new one (forgot the name) that's sort of like D, D & D but focuses on healthy food.

I got sucked into Food Network Star this season...anyone else hardcore rooting for Justin to win? I love the "Rebel with a Culinary Cause" angle and his food is always so creative and interesting!

Yes, I totally think Justin is going to win. But Ippy is just so cute - cute will just get you so far, though.
