I wrote on one thread here about this wedding that my daughter went to which was all wintry and gorgeous looking--until the bride came down the isle dressed like the White Witch. Good thing I wasn't there, I would've had to be carried out and my daughter's in-laws weren't far from it.

But KSU's picture is soooo beautiful! And those hydrangeas in the picture above..ohhhhh.

Fiance also keeps coming up with suggestions to make our wedding "stand out". He said that he wants SOMETHING unique that represents our personalities. It's a really sweet thought, but unfortunately, I think he just keeps picking things that are just "different" and not necessarily something that sets us apart. For example, he said "can I have a white tux?" After I gave him a HELL TO THE NO, he asked "What about a gray tux?" I wasn't crazy about it but I told him it was possibility. But now that I'm looking at some color schemes, I'm thinking that if he wants a gray tux, we could incorporate that into the color scheme because I've some really nice schemes with gray:

I can't find the others but I also saw a really pretty gray and magenta and also an absolutely GORGEOUS gray and deep red (although I feel that wouldn't work for our summer wedding).

Haven't seen it anywhere on this thread, but a color combo I like and would love for my wedding is victorian lilac & clover. Bouquet of cream roses (for me) and a similarly colored lacy dress. Bridesmaids with a single long stem cream rose each.
Victorian lilac being the main color with clover accents. Maybe incorporating some ivy.
If I was talented enough to put together one of those color boards I would.

This seemed like the best place to post these pics from my wedding a few weeks ago.

^^^I love your flowers and reception decor. The lighting of the room created a very "fall-y" ambiance. I love that you used a variety of colors to make it fall, too (instead of just sticking with just brown).

Thank you! Yes, instead of brown (an earlier choice) I went with plum, combined with reds, gold and orange. Those were my primary colors. We got the reception flowers from Pike Place Market the day before the wedding and they still had dahlias, so we ended up with a ton of them in different colors.

I love this! We're playing around with the idea of bundles of candles and white lights, because they tend to have a stunning effect and cut down the cost of decorating.
