I confess...

I'm in love with my best friend...and I think he loves me too. He's a great guy. If things were different in our lives, I would definitely love to be with him. But I figured out a while ago that we could never be together, so I just let it go. I think that his son's mom knows. She hates me and hates how much time we spend together, even though they are not together anymore. My boyfriend has no idea though.

More Confessions:

#1: I'm getting really sick of this wedding. I wish it was over with already. BIL's been calling Hubby all day everyday for the last 3 days fussing about the program and making sure we get into town on time. And if my BIL isn't calling his fiancee is burning up the phone lines calling Hubby about his tux and the program and making sure we get into town on time. She's been calling me too--only to tell me to bring the baby and to make sure he's quiet during the ceremony.

#2: Hubby's wanting us to stay at his brother's house to save money. I'm like

because my BIL's house is gonna be freaking Grand Central Station Friday and Saturday with his huge family coming in and out and wedding prep going on. The Baby, The Teenager, and I won't get any rest at all!

#3: I really wish I could just stay my fat fanny at home. Obama's coming here this weekend and his local campaign office here just called me and asked if I could work at the rally. I had to turn them down.

I am so mad right now. I wanted to meet Obama but noooooo, I have to be at a wedding that I will have no part in and watch Hubby have a grand old time while I wipe the spit up off my good dress.

Post-Wedding Confessions:

#1: Overall, the ceremony was nice. We stayed at my BIL's house and it was quiet the whole weekend. The only other guest was my SIL's aunt and she was really nice to us. The bulk of both families stayed at the hotel and got their party on.

#2: My SIL did not have a bachelorette party. She did have a "pretty party" though. She brought in professional cosmetologists to do make-up and nails for herself and the bridal party (which included Hubby's sister) and her mom and my MIL. The cosmetologists offered to pretty up other family members. SIL called her aunt and she called Hubby's cousins (even the ghetto one nobody likes to deal with) and his aunts. Did she call me? Nope. She said that she didn't know my number. Right.

#3: SIL was wrong for wearing that pure white dress. I know wearing white really doesn't mean much these days, but IMHO, if you already have kids before you got married and you and your man have been living together for over 2 years before ya'll got married, then maybe your dress should not be pure white.

#4: I found out this weekend that my SIL does not care for me all that much because I'm still good friends with my BIL's baby mama. I'm one of the few members of Hubby's family that didn't abandon her when my BIL broke up with her and got with his wife. Right now she (the baby mama) is really hurt and angry and doesn't allow my nephew to go to family functions anymore and I think that's sad because he's gonna be the one hurt.

#5: The wedding just reinforced this for me: I can only deal with Hubby's family in very small doses. I adore his mom and grandparents and sister and 2 of my 3 BIL's. The rest of the family can kick rocks. They are judgemental, petty, and a bunch of hypocrites. How are you gonna kick out my nephew and his mom because my BIL married someone else and then rush to accept her kids? The whole family is made up of blended families!!!! (I hate the term stepchild, stepfamily, etc)

I confess that I do have a slight crush on B even though I know I wouldn't actually be happy with him.

I confess that I'm glad that I decided to take B up on his offer. It was fun. It was what I needed at that time.

I confess that I'm still in love with the other one and refuse to give up.

I confess that I also have a crush on that professor. I really DON'T have that many questions to ask. I just like going in his office.

I confess that I really don't want kids. I would just have them because he wants them.

I confess that I had more fun at a random HU football game than I would have had at Central's homecoming.

I confess that I had all the fun stuff I would have had anyway.

I confess that the fish sammich was on point.

I confess that the bands were entertaining.

I confess that driving down the street versus driving 4 hours plus and being "expected" to show up at 50-million events was SO refreshing.

I confess that speaking to someone who doesn't want anything from me as far as money or anything that costs money is wonderful.

I confess that rebuilding a friendship with the above person is therapeutic.

I confess that the dead weight will be dropped before the new year begins.

I confess that I feel better now.

Update: I confess that dead weight has been dropped.

I confess that I feel much better about my decision.

I confess my bff ripped me a new one when I told her, but in the same breath told me she was on my side.

I confess that I really didn't believe her when she told me that.

I finally confess that removing that dead weight was exhilarating, and I don't really care what my bff thinks about my decision!!!!!!!
