WAAAAAHHHHHHHH :'-(
I don't know if I can get through this season. This week wrung me out. When Morris handed Bettina the ring, I just lost it.
I was afraid he was going to tell her that he had always had a crush on her & kiss her! Flashback to his less sensitive past, I guess!

i don't know about Julliana but George Clooney has indicated that he's not coming back to reprise his role.
i was so upset last night. it's always hard when kill off the doctors (Dr. Greene and Lucy). well, except for dr. romano. that was actually brilliant and ironic.

Was I the one expecting there to be two ER characters seriously hurt so we wouldn’t know which one was going to die? Kind of like when Lucy and Carter got stabbed. I hated that they told you someone was going to die and then Pratt was the only one who seemed to be in a life threatening situation.
Also I thought outside of the actor who played/s Pratt that the acting was horrible in that episode. It all seemed so loose. And the cheese stick toast? Terrible.

I cried at multiple times during last night's episode. When the tears started running down his face and it was clear that he knew he was in serious trouble. When they rolled him out of the ER and the brother said he wanted to do it. And then when Morris gave Bettina the ring. BooooooHoooooooooooo.
So is Angela Bassett going to be the new chief? Or is Carter coming back to take it? Carter would be my preference, because that would take the show full circle...he was the most junior person in the ER when he started, so it would be cool to have him end as the most senior.

Yes, Angela Bassett is going to be the new chief. I think Noah Wyle is only returning for one possibly two episodes. I am most looking forward to Anthony Edwards. I still have the tivo of his death saved. Last night was the first time since then that I have cried about the show.

I didn't like her character at all.
Seems like she's the typical "Angry Black Woman" -- some of the things she was doing would definitely lead to a complaint with HR.
But I've never truly liked how ER wrote black characters anyway.

At the end of the show, they showed Angela Bassett's family - who seem to have been killed in the tsunami a few years ago. Her vulnerability came out, too. I hope they keep that up.
I don't want Abby to go!!!!!!! WAHHHH!!!!!!

Okay, I admit it - when Abby put her hand against the glass, I put mine up to it. I am truly going to miss her - and as someone who didn't like Maura Tierney prior to ER, that's saying a lot. Ten years!! It's impossible to believe that she's been around that long! LOVED her rant with the suits!
But I lost it when she & Haleh put the locker names on the wall with the other doctors of the past. And when Abby & Luka kissed. Crap, here I go again...
I still think that there's a story behind Dr. Banfield (Angela Bassett) and her family. I'm thinking that they died somehow.

I lost it when she danced around the ER with Frank. He by far is the one who is killing me this season with his scenes. I am waiting to hear what happened with Angela Basset's family. She mentioned something tonight about loving that age, when Abby told her how old Joe was.

I catch ER whenever I'm home. This episode had me in tears, like Dr Greene's death episode. And the waterworks came when Abby was dancing with Frank too.

I didn't cry as much as Dr. Greene's final episode, but it was close. At least they didn't kill her off, but let her start a new life with Luka in Boston. She really has been to hell and back a few times on ER, hasn't she?

I knew I had heard what Abby voiced-over throughout the area: it's from the book of Job 38:
16 "Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?
Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death [b] ?
18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.
19 "What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?
20 Can you take them to their places?
Do you know the paths to their dwellings?
21 Surely you know, for you were already born!
You have lived so many years!"

Does anyone remember so far back that Abby had an ex husband and she keyed (or damaged) his fancy sports car. I think he was a doctor but I don't remember much else.

I know that she put him through med school, but I thought she damaged his golf clubs - maybe she did both?
