I like Jennifer Hewitt's dress. I just don't like her in it.

Star is capable of wearing wonderful clothes. I'm at a loss as to why she would wear a purple velvet (w/RUCHING!! ) dress.

CCH Pounder's hair color is beautiful.
I also like the claret colored dress of the women in the picture next to CCH. But I don't like the tulle hanging at the bottom (I also don't ike her in it).

That's how I took it. When JLH stepped up on the platform, that's what she said. This was before the interview started. LOL

September 20, 2005 -- A partied-out Lil' Kim, wearing sunglasses to conceal the toll of her final night of freedom, surrendered yesterday to a hardened lockup in downtown Philly — after complaining that she belongs in a cushy, rural prison a la Martha Stewart.
"I have unfortunately been assigned to a federal detention center — instead of a prison camp, as discussed — in the city of Philadelphia. I am not certain that this constitutes fair and equal treatment," she grumbled in her final statement before entering the clink to serve a year and a day for perjury.

The small-fry star, casually clad in a white T-shirt and jeans, strolled through the prison's doors surrounded by bodyguards around 4:45 p.m. — as inmates inside loudly banged on the grim jail's windows in greeting.

"We love you, Kim!" screamed fans as the star walked by, her video crew capturing the surreal scene.

The hip-hop queen's lawyer had made a doomed, last-ditch pitch to delay her surrender and have her reassigned to more upscale accommodations — invoking the Doyenne of Domesticity's prison digs.

"Why are we going to an inner-city federal prison when others like Martha Stewart simply go to camps?" Lil' Kim's lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, protested. "Not fair. Not fair."

The rapper, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, appeared tired before making her debut at the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center — likely because she sipped Cristal and partied into the wee hours at a Manhattan hot spot with 500 of her closest friends.

After dining on Chinese food at Mr. Chow's until 1:50 a.m., Kim rolled up in a Bentley coupe at 3 a.m. to the PM club in the Meatpacking District, trailed by a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow carrying her parents, brother and a video crew.

Wearing a low-cut blue dress with black stilettos and a silver purse, Kim took 20 minutes to get from the car to PM's door as she posed for photos and was interviewed by the video crew.

While she waited for the crowd to enter the club, fans approached her car and presented her with red roses.

Inside PM, celebrities including Mary J. Blige, rapper Sticky Fingers from the group Onyx, and "Saturday Night Live's" Kenan Thompson feted the rapper — who drank Cristal from a flute. Once she entered the dimly lit club, Kim prayed with her family. A toast was made wishing her a peaceful stay in prison while songs from her new album, "The Naked Truth," were played. Several friends made short speeches about Kim, who became teary-eyed.

Kim's manager laid out nearly $2,000 to buy two bottles each of Cristal and Malibu Coconut Rum and a slew of vodka tonics for the group sitting with her. "Lil' Kim is my homey," Sticky Fingers said. "I was with Biggie [Kim's onetime lover, Notorious B.I.G.] the last four days before he died, and that's why I'm here to show my love.

"She shouldn't even get no time. Everybody f - - - - - - lies. N - - - - s f - - - with her cause she's black and rich. Was she the one busting the gun? No."

After returning home at 5:20 a.m., Kim and her enormous entourage left her posh Alpine, N.J., spread again at 1 p.m. on two buses. The convoy took its time, stopping at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop to pick up some Roy Rogers. During the ride, "she was joking . . . she was enjoying her last moments with friends," said Kenneth Edmonds, who is the singer Babyface.

She then issued her final statement griping about her new digs.

Her complaint centers on the fact that she will serve her time in a forbidding 14-story building where 1,100 male and female inmates are locked up in small cells, and never go outdoors.

All but about 250 inmates are awaiting criminal trials, as opposed to serving sentences, as Lil' Kim is for lying to a federal grand jury about a shootout involving her posse outside Hot 97 radio station's studio in Manhattan.

The rapper was told where she would do her time only last Friday by federal authorities, who nixed her preference to be assigned to a prison camp, such as the ones in Danbury, Conn., and Alderson, W.Va.

Alderson is where Martha Stewart served five months, and, like other camps, it features dormitories instead of cells, and scenic grounds that inmates can wander.

A U.S. Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman refused to say why Lil' Kim — who could be released after 10 months with good behavior — was assigned to Philadelphia. Issues such as prison crowding and security concerns can affect such a decision, the rep said.

Asked about what Kim intends to do in jail, McMillan said, "She plans to study. She has a reading literature list. She will also work on her personal development."
