HC I try to stay from over there?
HC it is always some sort of drama?
HC it is starting to get outrageous all over the place?
HC GC used to be the spot?
HC not anymore?
HC maybe I won't read GC for a month?
HC when I come back, I wonder what it would be like?
HC maybe that will be my April challenge?
HC maybe then I can get some homework done....?

HC the thread wasn't about race at all?
HC I guess that I'm slow b/c I just got hipped to the drama in the other thread?
HC Rudey started the thread by placing an emphasis on race as if that was the distinction that I was trying to make when I asked for BGLO posters?
HC it was not about *race* at all?
HC I wanted to hear from people actually in the organizations that I directed my comment to?
HC that's why I said "BGLO" and not Black people in BGLOs?
HC there is a difference b/c we have non-Black people in BGLOs too whose comment I would have welcomed as they are actually apart of the Divine 9?
HC this is about the Divine 9 not about race?
HC that's why Starang21 who posted but who is not Black did not get his post deleted?
HC the thread excludes Black non-members of BGLOs who are not actually in the organizations too?
HC that's b/c, again, my point was to hear from real live members, not theorists?
HC why can't members of BGLOs talk amongst themselves without everyone always putting their two cents in?
HC why isn't that possible sometime?
HC how is that any different than asking sorors only to respond?
HC some folk are doing it real big in the imagination department? LOL
HC nobody asked me whether the post was about race instead making that silly assumption and then making a 50 million page thread out of an issue that was not even existent in my thread?
HC stop reading things into text and seek first to understand instead of to be understood?
HC that's one of the seven habits of highly effectively people?
HC I can only shake my head and laugh?
HC some folk have too much time on their hands?
SC

HC I wanted to say that before, but couldn't think of a way to say it?
HC thanks?
HC I've not read the entire thread, but some of what I've seen is akin to saying "I have some Black friends?"
HC and then thinking you're qualified to lecture about diversity?
HC but you haven't lived my life?
HC I hope I haven't just dropped to their level by saying this and that it's related, but if it's not maybe I just needed to get it off my chest anyhow?

Re: HC the thread wasn't about race at all?
HC If I asked you if it was a race issue, the mod would have deleted my post?
HC that's not a rule of GC?
HC Asking for thoughts from BGLO members rather than saying all non-BGLO comments will be deleted is different?
HC Nobody has addressed the fact that PHAShriner reflects poorly on APhiA and his supporters reflect poorly on their orgs?
HC I push the envelope but always for a reason?

HC you think that a thread discussion tolerence but being discrimatory isn't ironic?
HC you're willing to make broad assumptions about the posters?
HC you think that some of the posters aren't qualified to speak about diversity or tolerance?
HC you make assumptions that your life expiences are more valid that theirs'?
HC I'm hoping I haven't lowered myself to the level of some posting here...
HC I'm hoping that all the posters to take a step back and look at how stupid the majority of this crap is...

HC it is possible, but not here on GC?
HC I see Rudey's point and intent of his thread?
HC sometimes it is all about the mirror?
HC the intent of a thread sometimes differs greatly from the results?
HC to talk privately sometimes you have to talk in private?
HC it's real hard to have a private discussion on a public board about sensitive matters?
HC GP offers private fellowship forum areas for EVERYONE?
HC folks is still sleepin on GP?

HC a healthy dose of respect is what everyone needs to snack on?
HC people need a hug?
HC we need one large "Anything Goes" thread on GC so that people can share how they really feel?
HC you have to try to understand before you can get someone to understand you?
HC a lot of people want to make the last point, but not a point that lasts?

HC some are making too much out of it on BOTH sides
HC it's never a bad idea to discuss things
HC people say they think the thread is ridiculous, but continue to talk about it
HC it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but that still doesn't mean it shouldn't be brought up?
HC sometimes sensitive threads come out, and there can be some really great ideas that come out of those threads.
HC everyone (myself included) sometimes has to read the complete thread, and not just pick and choose the posts they're going to read.

HC my current employer is holding our bonuses because people are quiting during audit season?
HC if you quit, you don't get your bonus even though its based on last year's performance?
Hc that is extortion?

HC. . .
No Coop, I've never said that my experiences are more valid than others, nor do I know the posters' qualifications and whether or not they are able to speak on tolerance or diversity. But they can't tell me how to feel when I go in a store and a cashier will not look me in the eye, or place change directly in my hand because they're afraid that something may happen. No amount of diversity teaching can do anything about that.
I can only go on what I've seen; not only that thread, but others threads have appeared to be less than tolerable. I can also only speak to what it appears that others are feeling, which is my feeling as well - everything seems to point to race in a negative manner, which is a sensitive topic, and until Jesus returns, I don't think that's an issue that will ever be agreed upon (and I'm not presuming to speak on the behalf of others here, just for myself). My Soror talks about tolerance, but it turns toward race. Soror Moderator asks only BGLO members to post in the thread, and someone gets offended, then it turns to race. Green eggs and ham comes up and, you guessed it, race!
HC you and I can agree to sit back and say "Let's stop the madness".
