That's surprising to me -- especially with the men, but even with the women. I talked to a woman at one SEC school who said that although their pledge classes were generally around 70-75 women, it would be surprising if more than 50-60 of them were initiated. And obviously the sororities are losing people somewhere along the line if most of them top out around 250 -- assuming a pledge class of 80 for four years, if they weren't getting a number of deactivations, that number would top out around 320 (!).

Our pledge classes are around 50-ish, and it doesn't take days

Well, I guess that kinda depends. My pledge class was 67 or so, and it only took us an evening (not going into exact times here) to initiate all of us. Same for my roomate, who was a Gamma Phi. But our suitemates were Chi O's, and they took 4 days to initiate all their girls (one of them was the first day, the other the 3rd). I guess it just depends on how involved your initiation ritual is.

Oh, if you have a couple extra goats and inner tubes I think it goes pretty fast.

hey everyone, i would respectfully request that we get away from the ritual talk because I know it's making some GCers uncomfortable.

I apologize. I posted against my better judgement! One of those, even though everyone else is doing it doesn't make it right, kind of things. Sorry for anyone I offended.

All I know is what was posted in the ADPi forum, where we were told that ADPi at Vanderbilt took 49 new members
