we got around 4 or 5 inches in Ames.

Wet and Heavy.
Yay! that means more heart attacks which means more estate sales which means more chance for my sister and I to buy the crap we buy to make up for not having significant others or families, save for our cats.

Snow in Vancouver

I can't believe it, November's not over yet and Vancouver is a winter wonderland. It doesn't usually snow here until late December/early January. It's awesome.

Yeah it's snowing south of you all at the I-90 freeway. Both Stevens and Snoqualimie passes are shut down...

It was in the mid 60's here today. I got the outdoor Christmas lights put up. It was gorgeous out there. This is Michigan. I could like global warming...

ETA: I was getting really hot while putting up the indoor Christmas decorations and doing laundry. I figured it was hot flashes. Then I looked at the thermostat. It was 74 degrees in the house and the thermostat was set at 68! BONUS! A cheap gas bill should be in order this month!

Anyone else snowed in tonight? We've got at least a foot of snow and expect a bit more by morning. Schools are already shut down for tomorrow and I'm off too due to the snow! Now we'll just have to see if DH's company will close as well. Fingers crossed that we'll all be able to sleep in tomorrow morning.

We're snowed in here in Central Illinois. School has already been called off for tomorrow. It's snowed most of today; hopefully it'll stop tonight. The streets are horrible, so I'm trying to find a sleigh.
