Still we ask, How Come?

HC, Thank You to my Sorors and Sisterfriends for all of your prayers and well-wishes.
HC I've been having nightmares for the last two nights about what happened.
HC we went to look at my car yesterday and it's TOTALLED.
HC I just thank the Lord that I got out of that car without much injury.
HC I could have been seriously hurt.
HC that's what these nightmares are about.
HC I have a phobia about driving right now.
HC it's really bad at intersections.
HC I've got to continue to give it to God in prayer.

HC the other car was at fault.
HC everything happened so quickly that it's been all a blur.
HC one of my kids' babysitters happened to be in the Dollar Tree store where the accident happened in front of.
HC she saw the WHOLE THING.
HC she said that the other car had come out of a video store parking lot at a high speed and merged into the far lane of traffic.
HC I was making a left turn onto a busy street.
HC as I took off to make the turn, I am certain there were no cars coming towards me.
HC BOOM....we hit head on.
HC I was like WTF? where did that car come from.
HC my witness cleared that up for me.

HC, Soror Ideal, I didn't really have any burns from the airbag fumes.
HC but I could feel a burning sensation on my skin for some time.
HC inhaling all those fumes had my lungs trippin'.

HC my little Dodge Stratus came through for me.
HC seatbelts held me in and the airbags did their thang too.
HC the entire front end of my car was pushed back to the windshield.

HC GOD is the one that protected me in this accident.
HC he saw to it that I was able to get out of that car and literally walk away.
HC I can deal with a little neck pain.
HC I can even deal with a broken nail.
HC Thank You Jesus.

HC EVERYONE in a car should be wearing a seat belt. They keep you from meeting the windshield in an accident.

HC my 'significant other' was over my house a few days ago just chillin...

HC when he left, I pressed redial on the phone to call my sister back to trip out about something...

HC the phone started dialing all of these numbers?

HC when I looked at the screen, it was the voicemail number, plus his phone number, plus his passcode?

HC those numbers were burned into my brain at that very second, though I tried to forget them?

HC I fought with myself for 3 days to forget those numbers?

HC last night my curiosity got the best of me?

HC I did something I thought I would never do...check my man's messages!

HC his 'ex' was on there asking him to call her...how come this other 'unidentified' female was on there asking him to call her (although both of these messages weren't incriminating and could be explained)

HC there was also a message on there from this 'gal' saying "hey baby, I was just calling to say hey because I miss you so much, I guess I was out when you called, but give me a call later...I miss you and I love you, and I hope I can see you later"

HC WHAT THE FLLLLLLLUCK???

HC did I also tell you that she said she LOVED him?

HC did I also tell you that this heffa sounded mysteriously NON-Black?

HC I am

HC I can't approach him directly because I had no business checking his messages, and I got what I was looking for

HC I know now, and I am not upset as I thought I would be...

HC that must be a sign?

HC I am more mad that he has been lying, because he and I have been through some SERIOUS Shiznit lately, and though i am not mad...it's more of a dull hurt that makes me nauseous

HC I prayed but at times it felt like it wasn't working.
HC I had to keep pressing on even if I wanted to cry...whether it was in class, church, the nail shop or whereever.
HC I had to continue praying and praying.
HC I had friends and cousins who were really prepping me up and helping me through those gloomy days.
HC GOD gave me the strength to keep myself up and to keep myself looking cute, and neat.
HC I moved to Memphis and had a ball "rollout, rollout"

HC I met men in Memphis who'd ran trains around that nigga back home (wisdom,$$$,fun, attention)
HC I must admit those were some of the things I needed.
HC I learned to focus more on GOD and not even them.

HC my husband just spoke with one of the police officers at the scene of my accident.
HC the police officer confirmed that the accident was NOT my fault.
HC the other people have full coverage AAA insurance.
HC I knew that already, but am relieved by that confirmation that the other driver was at fault.
HC it's time to go car shopping.
