HA! That just now came on tv! I think the one with the little boy and the dancing cow is funny, but the other ones are annoying.

Not a fan of that commercial either. That one and the car getting hit in the VW commercial both bother me so much I turn it or leave the room if Im at someones house. I can't take them.

Ok, the new Altel series...that woman looks WAY too much like Catherine Zeta-Jones. It took me about 5 times seeing it to figure out it really wasn't her. And when the "Harry Connick(sp?) Jr" look-alike bowls with the Cingluar blob's head, that's kind of freaky too.

I hate those commericals. The original actors should sue for copyright infrengement. There are no "non-competetion" clauses for TV commericals. If both Cingular and Alltell want to hire Ms. Jones, then Ms. Jones should be the one in both commericals, not someone they dressed up to look like her. /hijack

I bet T-Mobile is paying her a pretty penny, and I bet that penny wouldn't be so pretty if she did a commercial for another company. Ditto with Harry Conick Jr. and the Verizon nerd. Although I am suprised they got away with using the little Cingular dude, as he's probably Trademarked.

The guy with the trench coat is suppose to represent Sprint. Remember the guy who went around giving Sprint phones? I like those commercials because it gets its message across. Also because Alltel's my cell phone provider!

And per my cousin's husband (who works for Cingular), the blob's name is Jack.

Right. Harry Connick Jr. is the spokesperson for SunCom ("and they get it"), which apparently doesn't rank as high as Verizon, Sprint, Cingular and T-Mobile in Alltel's circles.

I love these commercials, including the legal disclaimer at the beginning.

I don't remember those commercials. I see WAY more SunCom commercials then Sprint, but it may be the market down here, so I assumed the last one was SunCom. It does explain why the guy in the coat looks hardly anything like Harry Connick Jr.

I'm also glad to know that the Blob has a name. Even if it is Jack (which reminds me of another round-headed marketing ploy in the name of Jack-in-the-Box).

I also hated the ones for corn oil and dishwashing liquid that were too emotional for the product they were trying to sell.
YES. I remember those. All of Calvin Klein's commercials from that era were weird.

And those damn Egoiste commercials with all the women and the shutters opening and closing.
