Next to my own, of course... I love Tri-Delt's, ZTA's, and Alpha Xi's.

I think that white gold/diamond Sigma Chi badge is awesome!

Also, always refers to ariesrising's badge page, which is really cool. Link

I always loved the SAI and Sinfonia badges, but then, I'm pinned by a Sinfonian! He has one of the jeweled badges, so I loved it. (I was originally in a local, so we only had the original jeweled pin for our president to wear-- everyone else usually just had gold letters in a row, about 1/4 inch high or so.)
I think I also like the ones with enamel symbols rather than the stacked ones... some of the stacked ones just look kind of thick and heavy. I can't imagine trying to wear one...
For NPC orgs, I think Gamma Phi Beta is pretty interesting; I've always been intrigued by the crescent and by the hebrew-looking letters. Alpha Chi Omega's lyre and the Zeta Tau Alpha shield also stand out, looking at the NPC poster.
For the NIC guys... (why can't they list the names so I can tell whose is whose!?!) I've always liked Sigma Chi. From the poster, next to last on the top, there's a whitish shield with sword. Phi Delta Theta, maybe? It's between Lambda Chi Alpha and Phi Kappa Psi. That and Sigma Tau Gamma are pretty neat.
For the Divine Nine, I'd have to go with Alpha Kappa Alpha for the ladies (love that Ivy Leaf!) and either Omega Psi Phi or Kappa Alpha Psi for the guys.
There were two local pins I saw on ebay, though, that stuck with me this past week:
Kappa Phi Gamma 1955 and
Psi Omega Dental Fraternity
The first is cool because it's sort of an S-curve. The second has the most *beautiful* opals I've seen in a while. Check them out!
[Snarky comment-- can't these ebay people do a google search to find out what organization the pin might be from? Sheesh! Okay, it doesn't work for the above pin from Kappa Phi Gamma, an apparent local whose letters are now being used by an Asian-interest sorority, but you'd think people might at least *try* to check...]

For NPC, besides Pi Phi's gorgeous arrow, I really like Alpha Chi Omega and Phi Mu.
For NIC, I'm fond of Kappa Sigma, Sigma Nu, and Phi Delta Theta.
For the Divine Nine, I like Alpha Kappa Alpha and Sigma Gamma Rho.

I love the Tri Delta pin, but I'm also partial to Kappa Kappa Gamma's, Delta Zeta's, Delta Gamma's, and Sigma Delta Tau's. I like symbol pins more than the letter pins too.

*feeling like a dunce*
Okay, I understand! If I can't have my diamond
then I, too, like the symbol ones, such as Kappa Kappa Gamma & Pi Beta Phi. I don't think I could wear a badge with a skull and crossbones on it (big baby!), which seems to limit the fraternity pins. The above Sigma Chi pin is gorgeous, and if I remember the Delta Tau Delta pin correctly, it was very nice, too.

I have seen many Badges on ebay and all are unique in each way. I have a Opal LXA Badge which is very unique!
One of the most Beautifail Badges was a KS Badge that was all opals!
I have a TKN with 7 diamonds and 6 pearls which while very simple is gorgeous in its simplicity! APO which I paid out the nose for as a member along with the TKN, never had one of either and is fantastic as had never seen one like it before and is not offered on APO Site.
Other Listings: SN, STG, SX, Hell, if I do not list all I am A Putch!
What can I say about the Soroity Badges, they are all neato!!!!
I aint stupid to just pick a few! Da!

Well, other than Kappa's, which really is my favorite, I have to say I love Alpha Xi's and AOPi's pins. Pi Phi's is also interesting. I like Alpha Phi's new member pin the best.
For the fratenities, I really like Delta Tau Delta's badge.

I think I'm seeing an idea for a new thread! So many new members' pins are completely different from what you'd expect, after knowing what the actives' pin looks like!

Thanks, Kate! Our jeweled badge (which is the official badge) is much nicer than the plain version, which was created as a less expensive alternative to the jeweled design. There is a legislative proposal before our National Assembly to once again make the jeweled badge the only version available.

I know what you mean. I got the ADPi "poverty badge" because I couldn't afford a better one... plus I was an alumna initiate when the colony chartered, so I didn't know if I'd still want to be involved. Five years later, I'm trying to figure out how to get a jeweled beauty! Don't think they can do opals, but maybe some mix of sapphires and aquamarines and blue topaz...

Kate, our chapter president had a opal badge and it was simply beautiful! I understand that there is an EO who has a collection of different pins, and I would LOVE to see a poster made of it! I have three different pins myself, and I've seen dozens of other combinations - one "art deco" one just sold on ebay today to an EO! It was the "poverty badge" but with pearl points - terribly chic!

edited to add: I've never heard the plain pin referred to as the "poverty badge" before - kinda cute, in a way!

Yup, all of the AOII's badges have a ruby at the apex of the A.

I was quite tempted by that $30 roped badge, but it looked like an ADPi had bid for it.
Anyway, I actually called the home office yesterday, and Kellie G. called me back and is mailing me a badge order brochure with all of the prices and stuff. I'd love to get a custom one, but she said they discourage it since a) they do give a wide variety and b) they apparently had some custom orders go bad a while back, so they don't want that to happen again. But can you imagine opals and sapphires? Or a sapphire/aquamarine/bluetopaz mix?
[btw--"Poverty badge" sounds kind of gauche, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone by using that term... sisters I spoke with in January had used that term when wishing to buy jeweled badges, and it kind of stuck!]
