What's your point then?

I find it pretty funny that so many people are expecting the men from Seal Team 6 to come out and be like, "yeah I did it." It's as if no one's heard of classified information...

It's not impossible something could (wiki)leak, but realistically there will be no interviews, no media appearances, etc.

You do realize that just because something is classified doesn't prevent it from being leaked (Wikileaks) or even told/sold to the media. I also don't believe it will remain classified forever so I believe we will eventually hear to real story sooner rather than later. May not be a Seal but it will be someone who was in the loop. JMO

My point: Why care if he was killed in a gunfight armed or unarmed? Why care if his wife rushed a Seal and was shot for it? The guy deserved to get whatever... call it murder, assassination, extermination, or termination with extreme prejudice; the guy was responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people. I have no sympathy for him, his followers, his kids, or his wives, even if he was a good husband/father/provider/protector.

I don't think anyone's even saying that he was a good husband/etc. Just that the "his wife was less worth than our dog" comment isn't factual. It's kind of like trying insult OBL for being ugly, it misses all the really valid criticisms.

No one's said he shouldn't have been shot (in this thread.)

Osama's wives

Not very in depth but an interesting article about the woman who was injured, and some of her life.
Thanks for sharing. I was going to mention that at least one of his wives divorced him, but I couldn't remember where I'd heard that. I think it's interesting to realize that several of his wives/widows are highly educated and supportive of his cause. I think there are a lot of misconceptions about the culture and some of the generalizations I've seen, including here in this thread, are the result of a lack of understanding. That's certainly not to say that I would want to be part of the culture, because for me, what I perceive as negative aspects outweigh the positives. But, it's still interesting to me.

Having no sympathy for his followers is something I completely understand. But having no sympathy for his children (especially the ones under 18) I have to disagree with. If you're too young to explore and find other opinions and options for life and culture I don't think you should be held accountable for what your father did. And I do think it's very unfortunate that one of his children, a 12 year old girl, was reportedly there when they shot him.

I don't care if he was unarmed, that mad had it coming, there are no words to desctibe the terrible things he did and evoked.

I do however find it weird to see so many people celebrating murder. (I personally feel killing someone, whether they deserve it or not, to be murder)
Not saying people shouldn't celebrate, everyone has the right to handle the news as they please.

As much as I love SNL, I found absolutely nothing funny about their OBL "jokes."

Some laughter is just awkward, uncomfortable, "is this appropriate to laugh at in public" laughter.

WOMP WOMP FAIL FAIL @ SNL, their "Last Will and Testament," and all of the other Osama Bin Laden "jokes."

Uh, it's likely more than "classified." Folks with a "classified" clearance will probably not see this stuff.
