Even though I did enjoy tonight's show (esp. seeing Chelsie and Mark perform again) I don't even think I'm going to watch the finale next week. It's obvious that one of the golden children will win next week

I'm not sure I want to watch next week, myself. Melissa and Ade were my two favorite dancers left, and I really don't think I can stomach watching them drool over Kayla again. My mild dislike for her has ballooned quite a bit in the past couple of weeks! And I think Evan is a good dancer at what he does, but I am really disappointed to see him in the finale.

I was really sad to see Ade leave. He's really grown on me over the past few weeks, and I always seem to like his solos better than anyone elses.
And I agree, the judges love for Kayla is now making me angry. Especially after Mary made it a point to say, after the girls' group performance last night, that she was especially happy with Kayla's performance because of the few "more difficult moves" she supposedly had to do. I didn't really see that at all, but whatever. And is it just me, or are the group dances supposed to be more fun, and not meant to single out one person over another? I know they've singled out Evan in a couple of the group numbers, but it was to comment with something along the lines of, "I didn't think you would have done well with this, but you definitely held your own out there." It wasn't to single him out with, "I was a little more impressed with what you did." UGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
And I don't understand why people like Evan so much. I just don't get it. I know that some people can slide by on their personality alone (although it's usually for only a couple of rounds, and they don't make it into the finale)... but I just don't get it! There's nothing about him, neither his personality nor his dancing, that makes me think "Wow, I want to pick up a phone for him!"

Oh, and as I've said before, some nights Cat looks amazing... and other nights, you have to wonder who the hell lets her walk on stage looking the way she does.

They definitely have! A few episodes ago, I was thinking "haven't we heard this song before?" but last night Brandon did the same solo he tried out with originally. I've never noticed it in other seasons.
I feel like Jeanine is the only one who is really good but not "worshiped" by the judges. I like Evan, but more as someone I'd like to be friends with - he doesn't change based on the style of dance. Kayla is a beautiful dancer but kind of boring. Brandon is powerful but seems too predictable a winner.
In general, are you tired of the judges? I like listening to Mary's critiques on ballroom technique, which I know nothing about, but otherwise I don't feel they add anything to my opinions. I usually fast-forward after the first few sentences. Lil C is just ridiculous, and Mia is getting weirder and weirder.

It's been an odd year for the judges for some reason. I totally agree that Lil C is ridiculous (what do you mean you have to see with your ears?), and I also agree that Mia is getting weirder (if that's even possible). Mary has always been annoying with the whole screaming bit/hot tamale train thing. Nigel had been the most reasonable judge in previous seasons, but he seems to want everything to revolve around him these days. From his PhD reference, to the reference of his wife's divorce lawyer, it's just odd.

I was thinking that too. Lately, the mute button has been pushed when the dancing stops.
I understand how Kayla made it to the top twenty. I understand why she was in the top ten. However, when Janette left so that Kayla could stay, I was annoyed. Now that she is staying for the finale, I am just mad! She isn't that good and she is boring. Her solos are the same almost every week! Ugh I swear if she wins I'm not watching again.
Kat seems to have one good outfit a week and one weird one. Is it her choice or has wardrobe gone insane.
Last note, I feel like there were way more amazing dances last season. Like this season there are only a couple that stand out, but last season seemed amazing. When the judges are asked to pick their favorite dances of the season, there are only five that come to mind.

i think the judges comments can have a tremendous effect on the voting and i think that is not right. it breeds sort of a emperor's new clothes mentality. "oh, the judges praised that performance, they must be the best. if the public voted before the judges gave their comments, i'll bet the winners would be different.
this season seemed so predictable to me-and i never took a dance lesson in my life.

I am watching the finale, and I feel SO sorry for Evan. Enough, already! We totally get that the judges think Brandon should win, but goodness, how many times must they tell Evan he is less than what they had hoped! Talk about beating a dead horse!!
Who knows, Evan may now get the sympathy vote and win the whole thing!

Evan is great at what he does... but he is so out of his league right now.
He'll probably win, though.
