What?

That doesn't even sound right...how do you get a stimulus check without registering a valid SSN?

There was a loophole that needed to be fixed whereas if you got married and didn't report right away to the IRS that allowed people to get money if their names and SSNs didn't match.

You ned to at least have that to file your taxes because you at some point, HAVE TO PAY THAT back.

I AGREE WITH YOU...THAT IS EFFED UP.

That's not just in Texas, libramunoz, that's been the national policy since 2007. You have to show a valid form of primary ID.

If a person can prove that they've worked 40 quarters via the Social Security Admin, then they are eligible for SSA benefits. 40 quarters = ten years. I think that's how that works.

Deportation takes a LONG time. Why does it take so long, does anyone know? I need to work for ICE.

Not true. This is from the IRS website under the eligibility requirements:
"You and any family members listed on your tax return have valid Social Security numbers." http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=177937,00.html

Ahhh, this is the second time in this thread alone where you've claimed something that was disproven almost right away. Again, it is best to be armed with the proper ammunition when engaging in this sort of thing. Once is a misunderstanding, twice or more is just hysterical lying and possible blind listening to urban myths. $41K to incarcerate someone for a year? Hogwash! Illegal immigrants taking the stimulus money? False!

It's so easy to do a quick Internet search before you go running off at the fingers.

According to the letter of the law you are correct. However, thanks to lobbying and many immigration attorneys finding loopholes it is not uncommon for illegal aliens to receive social security checks. There's even a book, titled "What you need to know about life in America" that details a step by step process on how to get social security if you don't have a SSN. Unforunately, many illegal aliens have been able to obtain social security cards (not hard when you have no respect for American law to begin with) through various government offices.

No, that's not what you said. You said "The democrats (Yes- not a SINGLE republican voted for it) made it so that you don't need a social security number to register for the stimulus checks."

You've made some pretty broad generalizations about people in this thread - and others. It takes a lot away from your credibility when you are proven incorrect and still argue that you're right.

You can register for stimulus checks with a tax id number if you don't have a SSN.

All formal proceedings take long. I've always wondered why the death penalty took so long (10+ years+) after the sentence

Well it's probably a good thing the death penalty takes so long...there have been a couple of people who were found innocent.

Compared to my other beliefs, though, I'm pretty liberal on the death penalty (i.e. I think it should be abolished), so take my comment for what you will.

And children are the innocent pawns in all of this. These parents who are addicted will buy drugs before they feed their kids. They know that we know that and that we're the ones who will cave before they get straight.

If they can just get the kids to school age, they get free breakfast, free lunch, and then they get the after school programs where the first thing they get is a healthy "snack" which turns out to be the kid's dinner.

Frees up that WIC money for those drugs.

Since Libramunoz wanted to bring it up then I will play.

She says welfare recipients are not in a cycle. Tell me how there is no cycle when her father left her when she was one and he has been married 6 times? Now she is collecting food stamps. Her kids will probably end up collecting food stamps also. Libramunoz is obviously part of that cycle that she says does not exist.

The point that DaemonSeid doesn't get is his welfare state does not work. That is why his neighborhood is a ghetto and half the people do not have jobs.

Everyone says that welfare is designed to be a temp form of aid; if that is the case why not have a time limit to be on how long you can collect for (like with unemployment benefits).
