AOII took 47 at UF.

So what? The other chapters are not "worthy" of your daughter?

I hate to say this, and I really don't agree with ranking groups and all that, but Big 6 is kind of a fact of life at Texas - particularly to those from certain communities or with a history of Greek Life in their families. I am sure this mom didn't even realize that people might object to that. I know it's not how we roll on GC, but to people caught up in a GLO system like Texas's... it just is.
That said, there are some AMAZING not-Big 6 groups at Texas. You can't really go wrong.

6 is almost HALF of all the sororities at Texas... so they can't really be THAT elite or whatever.

Thank you. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out when (or for that matter, why) we invited Texas into the SEC...

It's all over at Arkansas. I think quota may have been refigured. I have heard both 67 and 76. In any case, AOII took 80 and they are very excited.

I am kind of surprised such a status-oriented mom was so charitable in calling her rankings the "big six." Usually people that hung up on the tiers make sure to let you know they're in the "big three."

Yep.
UT rush is in a league by itself. It's almost pre-ordained where a girl will end up, especially if the Dallas and Houston alums have a hand in it. Or should I say the Park Cities alums. Lived in Dallas for 20 years and after a while you just have to laugh. There are some legacies who will go to an out of state school where the chapter that is their legacy is not especially strong, get pledged, initiated, and then transfer back to Texas - or SMU. I've seen it happen.

It happens when girls come to Arkansas.

Well, my guess is that it's probably just because the bid wasn't from of the "big three." But of course I don't know that.

Ole Miss has water parties on Sunday. Sort of an open house before recruitment offically starts.
