Me too. Well, not so much red but the black cakes.

Why not red? What's the (hi)story behind no red?
(I feel you on the black, though.)

You'll have pinkish red teeth in all your pics after eating it.

My dad's cousin's daughter got married this past weekend. My parents were supposed to go but their flight ended up getting canceled, so they obviously didn't get any pictures. So I had to FB creep on pics for the cake because I knew it would be amazing...she's a cake artist and owns a bakery! Anyway here it is (I only wish I could find a better full picture because it's VERY yellow!):
(PS...her bakery's website is in pink & green...I'm pretty sure it's because she's a Delta Zeta alum!)

When I saw this I thought of the drink 99 Bananas (which I don't drink).
Is that an IUD at the top? I don't have on my glasses. Other than that I'm impressed by the sheer size and the beautiful folds.
Black fondant tastes not that great, beware because I did order Captain Picard's uniform for my ex's last birthday (we were still together) and it was great except for that black part.

There was a time when wearing red at a wedding was advertising that you were a hootchie mama. It's an OLD tradition, and while I tend to ignore it, I think about it each time.

When I make tea sandwiches, I use powdered Jello with the cream cheese to color and flavor it. Yummy!

I saw something very like this (somewhere), only it had sparklers on it:

LOL, I still adhere to this! I especially HATE to see bridesmaids in red! I just think it's awful!

I wonder if non-Western cultural influences have changed that, or if it's just been people saying "screw that" to tradition.
