Congratulations! Pi Phi is a wonderful Chapter on campus and I'm so happy she got her first choice! See, it does only take 1.

Congratulations to Southernyankee Daughter!

I am so happy for you both. Like the majority of the people on this forum, I've been so moved by your heartwarming posts. Maybe I'm weepy because her dad and I just moved TexasDaughter into her dorm, but your story did bring tears to my eyes. I'm a sucker for a happy ending!

Big hugs and kisses to you and your daughter. I understand the Pi Phi chapter at 'Bama is awesome, and I am amazed by the maturity your daughter showed us during this entire process. Your story has been a real lesson in encouragement and the power of sticking it out even when things don't go your way. Thank you, southernyankee!

Omigosh -- I just realized I picked the Giants, now known as Pi Phi! Wow! That's the first thing I won since fifth grade, when I won a Tootsie Roll Pop for winning the spelling bee.

Give your obviously wonderful daughter best regards from BamaDad....

Wow, was that quota? That is even higher than Zillini thought it might be!
Congrats again to your daughter!

Mine said they were off to the houses in their white dresses and to spend the night. I'm sure they will have the best time getting to their new sisters!

Congrats to your daughter! Pi Phis are a great house an so strong nationally! She will love it! Just out of curiousity and you certainly don't have to answer, but did her roommate pledge?

I just posted the results in the general Recruitment forum, but for those who want to know:

University of Alabama Quota: 69 Freshmen and 6 Upperclassmen for a total of 75.

76 was the original estimate Panhellenic had, so they were only 1 off.

What a great ending to an awesome thread!
It is a perfect example of how you can get worried about invites, but still get a bid from one of your favorites in the end.
Congratulations to your family, Pi Beta Phi, and your daughter!
