Notre Dame whipped up on Perdue tonight....I hate that they slipped up on Michigan State, otherwise they'd be in the top 8& possibly be in the run for a National Championship.
Just my opinion,
-Mark
October 15th USC in South Bend, that'll be a game to watch.

Iowa Fucking state. The day that Husker fans celebrate 2OT wins over the 'Clowns is the day that I say prove that UNL is having a crappy year. As much as I hate to say it, Tech is going to have their way with NU next week. And btw, I don't know if you're from Texas originally, and I doubt it, cause no Texan would refer to anything having to do with Tech as Red River anything. I reiterate my previous statement that the best team in Nebraska is in Omaha, and I think the Mavs would beat the Huskers by 2 TD's.
ND might be for real. And they remain to be the last test on USC's schedule. If the Irish don't beat the men of Troy, noone else will.

Holy crap we haven't won a game until the homecoming game today. Thankfully "win or lose there's always booze" wasn't the theme of the day.
As if we will ever win another game. Yay for good grades and prominent alums like Deepthroat, a Nuremburg trial lawyer, the mule cloning guy and the dude that invented Teflon.
See us in Hell team from Salt Lake City North that is just 13th grade with a blue turfed football program.

Woah no one mentioned Michigan/MSU yesterday! I have to admit that I was sure Michigan would lose, but in OT they won by a field goal! It was one of the greatest UM/MSU games I've ever seen!
And that one MSU guy REALLLY needs to cut his hair or something.

I was calling my dad from the wedding reception we were at getting score/OT updates.
The difference between yesterday and the last 4 games we won? In the last 4 games, we've had a defensive score. That's where we didn't capitalize.

I was at East Lansing on the Hudson here in NYC for the game...it was a great game to watch in a bar surrounded by MSU alumns, even with a Loss. And Domata Peko, #96 who ran for that long MSU TD, is from American Samoa & I was told will not cut his hair as a part of his beliefs in his Polynesian heritage...

Ohhh ok.... I feel bad then! Lol but it was out of anger cuz he is one BADASS player. I've never seen a big guy run for a touchdown like that before.

The biggest difference between the teams, and why I say that USC can't be considered the best team ever like some were saying previously, is because that '95 Nebraska team only trailed three times during the season. By 7 points against Washington St. and then twice to Florida in then National Championship game by 3 points and then by 4 points. All three instances occurred in the first quarter and early second...That team never trailed at half time.
And BigCityStripper, youre right, Nebraska has taken quite the tumble over the past 4 years. But we're coming back, and we're 4-0, so look out. However I tend to agree with you that TT will probably win next week. But strange things happen to visiting teams in Lincoln, and that's why we play the games.

You have got to be kidding me. Amycat will be nice about this but I won't.
Nebraska's 1 dimensional team wouldn't even hold SC's jock And check this out. I know you remember Miami's 2001 team. You know. Remember when your entire state came out to L.A.? You guys had just gotten punked by the Buffalos and somehow snuck into the Rose Bowl. Yeah, well that Miami team would beat the tar out of 95 Nebraska. Want another team? 72 USC team. Ok crap you want another? 92 Alabama team.
Since you obviously live in Nebraska and have nothing else to cheer for I will forgive you for making such a ricockulus statement. " oh um, usc was down by more points than us so yeah we rule!".
If you wanna make another thread about this, lets do it.
And for the record. I do believe that the 95 nebraska team was truly great. also, I am not saying that this USC team is the "best ever". This USC team is not even as good as recent USC teams. But this USC team and the other teams I mentioned would run track meets around 95 Nebraska and that woman beating backfield.

Yes, the game yesterday was a great one. At least the parts that I did see. I really don't like regional coverage and not being able to see the Spartans in action...
Last years game was great until Stanton got injured and UM came back and tied and eventually beat us in 3OT's
