No clue yet. Unfortunately, Brianna has been not as active ( ) this year as last (i.e. no cheer), so I've gained some poundage (eek!). I'm going to be looking for a new formal and semi formal pretty quick here.
Oh if you want picture ideas , convention 2005 thread has pictures posted to it from the semi-formal dinner and then from formal dinner.
Sorry I'm not much help.

Well I have my outfit like that from the last ritual initiation so I could pull that out. (also you really shouldn't post such private ritual information on GC)
I am really starting to get excited - I have never been to convention - I have most of my outfits purchased and I think I am ready to go. PLUS, and I know this is wierd - I LOVE TO FLY - I just love it. I don't know why - plus I love airports - I guess it is the fact that you could go anywhere from there and get there faster then driving. oops sorry for getting off of the subject.

You'll find some of everything for the final banquet. I've seen church dresses and I've seen formal gowns. Find something you're comfortable in but makes you feel special.
Wow- that probably didn't help much, did it?

Convention is almost here! I have a formal and semi-formal dress....it is the all white number that is freaking me out! Have we decided on the best way to recognize each other? I think that we should pin a colored ribbon onto our lanyards....it would be an easy way to pick each other out of the crowd.
I met with my collegians last night to discuss flight times, appropriate outfits, schedules, etc. They are really looking forward to it! The chapter that I advise is up for their first ever Golden Lion, so we are getting VERY anxious!
I can't wait to meet all of you!

That's fabulous! Who are you advising? My chapter of initiation is up for Stanard (for the first time), one other in my Province is up for GL, one is up for Excellence (for the first time), and one is up for DFP. Everyone's getting excited about it around here as well!
I'm game for setting a meeting time, wearing a ribbon, whatever. My schedule is filling up though with meetings and stuff, so depending on what we decide, I may be late or unable to come.

Connie, if you love to fly, you would totally love our airport! It's actually a mall that happens to have an airport terminal around it. I was coming home from Cali just prior to Christmas, and was walking in front a group of pilots & flight attendants. They were so excited to have a layover in Pittsburgh so that they could do all their Christmas shopping in one fell swoop!

My "formal" is a long black (asymmetrical hem) dress with red embroidered flowers along the shoulder straps and as an accent along the *ahem* neck line
"Semiformal" is a knee-length black cocktail dress with a small circle rhinestone accent at around my tummy, and white dress is a sleeveless sundress that hits me at the knee (I've had it from Target since around the time the last Convention was over )
My mind is going over and over the ten million things that I need to pack and get together in the next 2 1/2 weeks. Unfortunately, I'm spending the next 1 1/2 weeks getting my "ducks in a row" with my internship hours and closing out the school year.
I'm in agreement for the ribbon - what color should we go for? I also suggest we try and meet up the first night - perhaps we could try sitting together at dinner? Otherwise, I also suggest picture on the formal night - that was fun last time!

You can always borrow one of my dresses. I know they won't fit very well saying I'm a 17 and you're little and they are also strapless. I think we can safety pin ya in to the red one. That would be the best one to fit you anyways. Just walk next door and let me or leave a message on here. Either way.
If anyone else needs a bigger size dress just let me know since I will be working during the entire convention.

Okay....I say that we go with a violet colored ribbon. I think that there will be a lot of azure and white, so the violet will stick out! We can just stick them onto the side of our nametag. I am truly looking forward to meeting all of you!

Semi-final is for the opening banquet; formal is for final dinner.
I agree with a violet (or purple) ribbon. Works for me.
I have gotten PM's from Jwright25 and Azureblue with their information.
If you "see" your name could you please PM me with your name and cell phone number.
