BLAHNIK BLACKLISTED BY MADONNA

Footwear king Manolo Blahnik has lost one of his best customers, Madonna, after criticizing the superstar's acting ability.

The shoe designer admitted he was unimpressed with the Material Girl's movie outings -- despite the singer declaring his designs were "as good as sex -- and they last longer."

Blahnik sent Madonna a written apology, but received a stern reply, saying
the star would not accept his sorry and has refused to buy any Blahnik shoes since.

I went on to Star's website and I haven't found those pictures yet but I did find one in the engagement album. It is a picture of the happy couple with Star and Al with "Jacob the Jeweler".

Oh, man. Anybody who knows anything about diamonds (not like I'm claiming to know much ) would know better than to go to Jacob the Jeweler. We're not talking Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, etc.
I've heard that Jacob's diamonds are very poor quality and he's mainly made his $$$ dishing out bling-bling to the rap set.

Singer Eric Benet wants to get married again. Eric states that even though things didn’t work out with Oscar winner Halle Berry, he is willing to try it again. Earlier this summer, Halle stated on Oprah how she will never marry again. Eric was not faithful to Halle and his escapades made headlines around the world. If he gets married again, will he be faithful and who is the woman that would trust him?


The fight is on for the estate of Rick James. Rick left behind millions with his music publishing royalties. At the time of his death, he was a very wealthy man, and family members are coming out of the woodwork to get their share of his money. The children of Rick James, Ty and Tazman, are battling relatives who want their share. How can they battle Rick’s children? They deserve the money, but Rick didn’t leave a will, so the courts will have to decide.


Whitney and Bobby are bringing their reality show to TV. The show, ‘Being Bobby Brown,’ will air on the Bravo Network. The Bravo Network is also the home of the hit show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. There’s no word yet on the air date, or how much screen time Whitney will get.


Has Alicia Keyes turned into a Diva? Alicia walked out of a Photo shoot for the new magazine Suede. Suede is the younger spin-off of Essence magazine. Alicia is being profiled in the magazine, and she was slated to be on the cover. Sources claim Alicia was an unbelievable Diva. Alicia says this is not true. She arrived on the set with her mother and she didn’t like what the hair and makeup people were doing, so she left. Alicia has every right to control her image. Maybe they will reschedule the photo session with new people.


Nicole Richie is writing a book for young people warning them of the dangers of drug abuse. Nicole who is the star of the FOX Show, “The Simple Life,” is no stranger to drug troubles. With the help of her parents, she was able to overcome heroin abuse. Nicole says the book will be aimed at young people ages 13-18. Nicole’s dad is Singer Lionel Richie, and he is now a free man. Lionel’s divorce from second wife Diane Alexander just became final. They were married for eight years and they have two kids. The divorce proceedings were held up for months because of Diane’s outrageous money demands. Lionel had to pay out, but not as much as she was demanding. Lionel says that even though he keeps striking out at love, he will always be a hopeless romantic.


This week’s dumb award goes to Charles Barkely. The former 76er now TNT Sports analyst, made headlines this week when a young girl claimed he groped her at a club in Center City. The 21 year old says Charles complimented her on her breasts and then grabbed them. Charles is 41 and married. Is he paying attention to the Kobe Bryant trial?


Joe Jackson, the head of the Jackson family, is writing a book about his famous family. Papa Joe, 75, is the head of the musical dynasty, and he says he wants to set the record straight about their rise to the top. The book, “The Golden Truth,” about the Jackson Family will be released overseas first. Will Joe tell the truth? Will he talk about how he beat his children, particularly Michael? Will he talk about the girlfriend who had his love child? Will he talk about the beat down the woman suffered at the hands of Janet and Randy? They went after the woman and beat her up. Will he talk about his divorce from Katherine Jackson? Yes, they are divorced. They only get together for personal family appearances. How much of the truth will he reveal, and will this book ever be released in the United States? Who knew they were divorced? Lawd the Jacksons got more secrets than the bank has money.


So what’s next for Prince? Prince wants to do a jazz album and he’s already lined up Bassist Matt Garrison and Wallace Rooney on trumpet. Prince says he doesn’t want to be known for one style of music, and he hopes to start on the project later this month.


June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters fame is in trouble again. June was arrested after attacking her 61 year old boyfriend. June was dating a limo driver, and she tried to gouge his eyes out with her fingernails. Joel Coigney started dating June earlier this summer, and he says he let her and her niece move in with him. Coigney says he wanted to help her stay clean, but he says she started harassing him with her drug dealers. June says Coigney was messing with her niece, and that’s why she attacked him. June is due in court next week to face assault charges.


Paula Abdul is acting strange again. The American Idol Judge was in St. Louis at the Idol auditions. Sources say one minute Paula was happy and dancing, and the next minute was snapping at people and crying. Earlier this year, Paula appeared on a talk show incoherent. Her eyes were closed and she was slurring her words.


Vivica A. Fox says she’s 40 and fabulous. Vivica shocked a lot of people with her hoochie dance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Vivica was dancing with Lil’ Jon & The East Side Crew and Fat Joe & The Terror Squad. She had the see thru white t-shirt and the short shorts that left her behind hanging out. She was shakin like a salt shaker, moving just like a video girl. Was this a good career move for Ms. Fox, or is she trying to prove that she is still hot? Producers for the awards show were concerned about her skimpy outfit, and almost pulled her performance. But Rapper Lil’ Jon insisted that she dance with them. A lot of people think she’s losing her mind, first Rapper 50 Cent and now this. Meanwhile, Chaka Khan has released a statement regarding her poor performance at the VMA Awards. Chaka says she was suffering from strained vocal chords. Chaka teamed up with Kanye West for the song, ‘Through the Fire,’ and Chaka was very off key.


Jennifer Lopez has fired her longtime Makeup Artist Mark Barnes. He is the man who is credited for giving her that glow look. Apparently, Mark has been fingered as the person in her inner circle who has leaking info about her to the tabloids. Sources say J-Lo tested him with a false story, and it suddenly appeared in the press. Since her marriage to Marc Anthony and engagement fiasco to Ben Affleck, Jennifer has decided to keep quiet about her personal life.


Has success gone to Dave Chappelle’s head? Chappelle, the star of the popular “Chappelle’s Show” on Comedy Central, recently signed a deal worth 50 million dollars to stay with the show. Chappelle was at a comedy show in New York. He wasn’t scheduled to be on, but he got on stage anyway. Sources say he couldn’t keep his eyes straight, and he was rambling on and on about how fabulous he was. Is success or something else affecting Dave Chappelle?


Raven Symone is getting her own Prime time show on ABC. Raven is the star of the show, ‘That’s So Raven’ on the Disney Channel. She is very talented and funny. Raven has been charming audiences since she was three years old on The Cosby Show.


Bernie Mac and Angela Bassett hit the big screen on the 17th with their movie, “Mr. 3000.” In “Mr. 3000,” Bernie plays a retired baseball player who is forced to return to the game to fix his record as the all-time Baseball hitter.


Heather Headley and Kenny Lattimore are teaming up to do a duet. The song, ‘Love Will Find A Way,’ will be featured on the soundtrack to ‘The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.’


The VH1 Network will be airing the VH1 Hip Hop Honors on October 12th. Run DMC, KRS-1, The late Tupac Shakur, DJ Kool Herc, Public Enemy and The Sugar Hill Gang will be honored.


Wedding bells are in the air for Supermodel Tyra Banks and Basketball Star Chris Webber. The two have been dating for a while and they got engaged earlier this year. Will the wedding take place before the third season of Tyra’s hit show “America’s Next Top Model?” Someone give Steeltrap a hug!


Mario Van Peebles movie, “BAAADASSSSS!,” about his dad Melvin Van Peebles, is coming out on DVD on the 14th.


Babyface’s latest CD ‘A Love Story’ is coming out on November 16th.


At the movies, it’s Queen Latifah in ‘The Cookout’. Queen produced the movie, and she has a cameo as a crazy S.W.A.T. Member. The movie is full of cameos check put your favorites Danny Glover, Farrah Fawcett, Tim Meadows and The Queen of Radio, Wendy Williams. Now speaking of Wendy, she has a hot new book coming out called ‘The Wendy Williams Experience.’ The book is hilarious and it’s full of her famous interviews, including the one with Whitney Houston. Her candid comments are legendary and they are included in the book. The book comes out on the 13th and she will be in Philly on the 15th at Barnes and Noble at 18th and Walnut.


The family of Luther Vandross is not happy with a new book out about the singer by Craig Seymour. Seymour is the Author of the book, “The Life and Longing of Luther Vandross.” The book details his rise to the top plus his famous feuds with Anita Baker and En Vogue. The book talks about the incident that almost ruined his career, a 1986 car crash that killed his best friend. Luther was driving and at the time and he was facing manslaughter charges. Luther’s family is upset that Seymour is making money off of Luther’s name.


Singer Laura Branigan died last week. Branigan was best known for the 1982 classic ‘Gloria’. She died of brain aneurysm in her sleep. Two weeks prior to her death, she was complaining about having a constant headache. Branigan was 47 years old.


Anita Baker returns after a ten year absence on the 7th with her latest album ‘My Everything’. The CD features a duet with Babyface.


Jill Scott is also back and her CD, “Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Volume Two,” is in stores now. This album is a classic. I like every song on it, but my favorite has to be, ‘The Fact Is (I Need You),” which is a call to all men Fathers, Sons, Uncles, Cousins, Brothers, to stand up and take their rightful place as the head of the household. Jill is on a whirlwind tour promoting the album. She’s going to be profiled in an upcoming edition of People Magazine. She also has a Showtime movie coming out with Kyra Sedgewick, and she’s releasing a book of poetry, “The Minutes, The Moments, The Hours,” in April 2005. I had a ball with her when she came by the station. She is a beautiful lady, the real deal, and her latest CD is a masterpiece. Jill sits down with Tavis Smiley on the 15th, and she’s on the cover of the latest Jet Magazine.

Considering how everyone else is dressed, I'm wondering didn't she think her outfit was a bit inappropriate? No wonder the men in the back are staring.

I wish there was a way to get the caption along with the pictures. On the first pic Star states "Al decided to fulfill his "lock" fantasy for this trip...He looks soooo good!". She encourages his behavior.
