And, for whomever was complaining bout Jessica Simpson, all i can say is that i wish the band nerds at my HS looked that hot

Congrats to my 2 fellow Ags who will be sporting Super Bowl rings next year, Bethel Johnson and Ty Warren.

Congrats also Antwain and David Givens, fellow Texans who will be winning rings.

BTW, Vinatieri is from South Dakota

Nope, but Madonna was all up in her grill so that they could be in all the papers the next day. That's what Janet was going for, yes?

You know, if it was anyone other than the classy Miss Jackson...I would say it was trashy. But y'all it's Janet Jackson. I think she is one of the few entertainers out there who could pull off the boob thing.

According to the Drudge Report:

"I am sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl," Timberlake said in a statement. "It was not intentional and is regrettable."

MTV Statement on Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime Incident

HOUSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance.

Great end to a great season. Oh yeah, the Panthers suck!

and now a word from CBS

NEW YORK (AP) -- CBS apologized on Sunday for an unexpectedly R-rated end to its Super Bowl halftime show, when singer Justin Timberlake tore off part of Janet Jackson's top, exposing her breast.

"CBS deeply regrets the incident," spokeswoman LeslieAnne Wade said after the network received several calls about the show.

The two singers were performing a flirtatious duet to end the halftime show, and at the song's finish, Timberlake reached across Jackson's leather gladiator outfit and pulled off the covering to her right breast.

The network quickly cut away from the shot, and did not mention the incident on the air.

Timberlake said he did not intend to expose Jackson's breast.

"I am sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl," Timberlake said in a statement. "It was not intentional and is regrettable."

Wade said CBS officials attended rehearsals of the halftime show all week, "and there was no indication any such thing would happen. The moment did not conform to CBS' broadcast standards and we would like to apologize to anyone who was offended."

The Super Bowl halftime show, which also featured P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock, was produced by MTV, CBS' corporate cousin in Viacom.

"We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced halftime show," Joe Browne, NFL executive vice president, said. "They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the content of the show.

"It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."

MTV issued a contrite statement, saying the incident was "unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional."

B.S.

Did either of them looked surprised when he tore off the piece?? And even if it was an accident, does Janet always wear nipple covers/spikes/whatever??

How was supposed to be an accident?? I don't buy that it was a "wardrobe malfunction". I mean, what was supposed to happen? Let me guess: at the end of the song, where he sings "I wanna have you naked by the end of this song" he only meant to reach over and give her a brotherly "tap" on the shoulder but his sleeve accidentally got caught on her costume and clear tore off the breast covering.... I'm sure that's really what was supposed to happen.

SATX*APhi has it right, who wears big metallic nipple covers underneath their bustier?

You know, after Brittany and Madonna had their infamous kiss, I bet Justin and Janet cooked up this little stunt as a way to "one-up" them.

I'm not really into sports, but I enjoyed the game tonight. Very exciting. As for that "wardrobe malfunction"....yeah right. I think that was pretty intentional. But I agree with Firecracker that only Janet could pull that off. Her performance was the best part of the show. The other guys just did old tired songs. Ok, Janet sang old songs too, but she's just awesome. Why was Jessica even there? Not to mention that they could have gotten a better "special guest" than Justin. And was it just me or were the commercials not that great this year?
