WaldenBooks called and invited us to this party tonight from 9 to 12, at which time we could pick up our book. No thanks!

1. My kids would be berserk by midnight.
2. Therefore I would be too.
3. I would want to read it through to the end, resulting in no
sleep, a miserable day tomorrow.....

Naaah, I'll get up early tomorrow and pick up our copy!

All right, so I don't want to fight the crowds at Borders or Books-A-Million (the two closest bookstores to me) so I won't be going tonight. Besides, I have to be at work by 7 tomorrow morning. So my plan of action is to try Wal-Mart (they open at 6 at the one near me) on my way to work in the morning and see if I can get it there. If not, then I guess I'll have to TRY to be patient and just order it online!

I am so going tonight! In about 20 minutes in fact. I have no children and I don't work tomorrow so I am all set to settle in for a good read tonight. To kill two birds with one stone I'm going to call my bf while I'm in line. *grin* I can't wait!!!!!!!

I think it sucks that some ppl can't keep their mouths shut!

I fortunately have not heard/read any spoilers...it was funny today, while reading email from Snapefans listserv i covered my eyes and scrolled down whenever someone mentionned a spoiler...at least they had the respect to include a spoiler warning...

Well, I hope all potter fans are having a jolly old time..it's already 1 am here...I didn't go to the release party. My friend wanted to go incase there were promotional freebies or other goodies, but when she called the store the guy was snooty and said "the bonus is you get to buy the book at midnight!" well, duh!

tomorrow, I'm going to throw on my cape and sit on my porch reading GoF until the postman arives! yay! I wonder if I should bring my wand with me so that i can accio the book out of his hands!?!

Let me just tell my lil Getting-the-Book story.

So I get to Wal-Mart at 6:10 am, 10 mins after they open. I immediately see 2 different people exiting the store, each with 2 copies. So I go in, and I am looking EVERYWHERE for it. I'm not familiar with this Wal-Mart, I prefer Target. I finally find the book section, and I see the first 4 HP books, but not the 5th one. So I ask the cashier. She has this amused look and says, "Wow, so many people have been buying two copies of it already today." The store has only been open now for 15 minutes! Obviously, I was not the only person with this idea to go at the crack of dawn So the cashier tells me to ask this other lady, so I go ask her, and she points to a table covered with copies of the book--- RIGHT BY THE ENTRANCE I WALKED IN!!!! I felt like a complete moron, said thanks, and got my copy. I go back to the cashier and pay for it, and she again seems amazed that this book is so popular. I just think it's funny... all these cashiers at places like Wal-Mart and Target today who don't yet understand the appeal of Harry Potter have GOT to be sooo confused!

Now, I am at work and will be all day, so I won't get to start reading till this evening

Talking Oh my God I am holding it right now!!!

I went online to check my FedEx status as soon as I woke up, and it said my book was on the truck as of 9:00 am. So, I decided to catch up with the HP thread on GC in the meantime, and I just got a knock on my door from my most favorite person, the FedEx guy! It only took 50 minutes for them to deliver it. And now I can't wait anymore, I am going to go and read the whole thing. See you when I'm finished!

As soon as I have the energy to get out of this chair I'm going to get my copy! Can't wait. I know I'm going to have it read by tomorrow, and then it'll be like 3 more years for book 6. This will have to turn into a review thread as long as everyone warns about spoilers!

My mom is 53 and she loves Harry Potter.

I just jumped on the Harry Potter Bandwagon. I'm only about a 1/3 of the way thur book 3. I'm asking all of my GC family not to give away to much of the plot of the lastest book until I can get caught up
