A Happy Prayer Request
I am trying to buy my first home and I need you all to pray that all goes well for me. I am trying to figure out if I am doing the right thing. It's a big responsibility and I feel as though I am up to the challenge. I just want to be sure. Pray for a sista!

Prayer request
This May I will complete graduate school with my M.Ed in College Student Affairs. It has been a trying struggle, but I am glad that took the leap and went back to school.
Next week I have a job interview at Washington University in St. Louis and I really want this job. I'm asking Soror's and sisterfriends to please lift me up in prayer for a safe journey, pleasant stay, and interviews that have good results.

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11, NIV
Yesterday I was at work and I was working on a couple of projects for my department. My team lead approached me so I could update her on a few things. She asked to speak with me at her desk. She asked me how would I feel about taking a position in the leaves pay processing department. I currently am a Leave of Absence Coordinator. Well becoming a Leaves Pay Processor means no more headset , no more sitting by my 2 chatty cathys and an EARLIER SCHEDULE!!!! Now typically pay processors make less than people who are on the phones so I do not expect a financial increase but God knows. I prayed and prayed for a new job. While I do not have that, I have a new position. I was ready to leave this place but my plans and ways are not His plans and ways. I will be in training starting Monday for 4 weeks. But getting off work at 4 instead of 7:30 makes it all worthwhile. So thanks everyone for praying.

I am praying that hopefully soon I will find a job, I have my family and friends helping with essential elements. However I don't want to keep depending on them. Hopefully before the Fall semester I will find a job that will be able to work with my school schedule.
Hoping that I make it through my summer courses, b/c its going to be a hectic summer...going for 15credit hours.... maybe even more
....and I am praying my arrogant little sister learns to appreciate life b/c she is taking it for granted...
keep me in your prayers...

Prayer Request
I have someone very very close to my heart working as a government contractor over in Kuwait & Iraq.
I just asked for some prayers from GC Fam to bring him home safe to meand his family when his year is up in October.
Its been a very rough year with him in Kuwait and alot of really close calls and with things gettin HOT over there in Iraq and nearby countries...
I only pray that he comes home safe in once piece.
Spare a pray for me & him
Thanks,

My Grandfather....
Please keep my grandfather on your prayer list. He suffered a stroke back on March 22, 2004 and has not been home since. He was in the hospital for about 3 weeks and recently was sent to a nursing home nearby where we live. He had a stroke on the left side, so he cant move anything on the side. He cant talk, walk, feed himself, or anything. he is 69 years old and my family has been trying to keep the faith and they are praying for him everyday. I just went to see him today and all he did was cry. I kept telling him that it was gonna be ok and that he would get better soon, but still he cried. I love my grandfather and dont know where I would be without him. So, please pray for him. Thank you!

Prayer Request
My prayer request is two fold.
I would like to add my sister on your list. She fell in church back in October and never recovered. This fall has trigger something in her that has made her paralyzed in her arms and neck as well as slurred her speech. We have taken her to doctor to doctor and no one knows what it is--they believe it is Lou Gehrig's disease.
Please pray from her 1. to fully recover and 2. that we find out what it is. Her name is Leslie.
Thanks for your time.

When you give a shout out to the Lord, please remember me as I attempt to write this research paper so I can graduate in August with a master's in rehabilitation administration. I'm struggling trying to get the energy or come up with ideas to write this thing, plus I have not written anything over 5 pages. Plus, I am trying to do all that, prepare a resume and find a job.

Please pray for my mother. She has lost a lot of fluids, her mouth is dry and she is really weak. She finally called the doctor, and my dad might take her in. Unfortunately, I'm at school and need a ride home. I just hope they find out what it is and she doesn't get too dehydrated. The reason why I'm really concerned is that she is mildly chronic dehydrated because of her severe anemia, this makes it worse.

It was a stomach virus. I never knew it can get that severe, she could barely talk or walk. We had to take
her to the ER so she can get IV because she was really dehydrated. Thankfully,
she's ok now.

I don't think I mentioned this before, but I want to put this little girl's story out there so that you guys can include her in your prayers. Her mother is the owner (and one of the stylists) of the salon I go to (when I go).
Jayla is about 10-11 years old and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in December. They featured a story on the news about her last night...here is the the video.
Thanks!
