I'm so excited for bid day on February 26th.
The recruitment schedule was on the new chapter's Instagram story.

Sacred Heart was a school that has had immense growth in it's greek system. Tri Delta came on and quickly grew to total. I figured they'd open up soon.
UNC opened most likely since Kappa closed (they closed due to low numbers this past spring.) so I'm hoping a new group can come on and do well.

Hm. Interesting about the Georgia schools.
Ga Southern must have had some real chapter growth. Two of those sororities folded and came back in recent years so they must be solid by now.
I think that Ga Gwinnett is still strictly commuter. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out.
If y'all can believe it, my oldest granddaughter will start college (probably at Georgia Southern) in the fall a year from now. I have no idea if she'll rush.

Methodist has had NPHC growth and the 3 fraternities on campus have good numbers. The one NPC sorority is at half of total and has seen a steady decline in membership over the past two years. As the advisor to the current sorority I’m curious to see how extension pans out there…

Do you think the declining interest is due to the ADPi incident a few years ago and current students hesitate joining?
I also saw on the Greek Life IG account a potential new sorority interest survey. Maybe the results indicate a new sorority is feasible

The ADPi incident is rarely mentioned anymore so I don’t think that’s much of a factor. The women I advise were not informed of the interest survey until the day it went out which can be done since there isn’t a CPC but I didn’t think it was in the best taste. Since the survey, some of our chapter’s members think there is a push to get a sorority on campus that has more of a national presence. My concern is the chapter total currently being at 40 and our chapter hasn’t had that many members since I’ve been with them (Fall 2020). We’re currently sitting at 21 and it might be hard to compete with recruiters from someone’s HQ.

Well, the other side of that coin is 1) a colony is hard, especially when there's not a ton of interest at the school in general 2) even if they do have women from another group's HQ, those women are not going to be the ones sustaining the chapter. Who's on the campus is who's on the campus. I mean if a bigger national presence group blows onto campus and thinks they're going to get 200 members they'll be disappointed.

I don't know if this was posted already but Pi Beta Phi at Marquette will be closing at the end of the Spring term due to low membership.

Anyone have information on University of Cincinnati’s decision to open for expansion?
Last spring we heard through our City Panhellenic group that there was an interest group asking for Sigma Delta Tau to be reinstated. When I add this with the recent new member numbers which don’t support a need for adding another group, I wonder if there any reason for me to hope my chapter may finally get to return.
Side note: I attended ADPi bid day at Ohio State yesterday. Over 100 new members, not sure so I don’t want to try to be exact. The interest exceed 200 women. The chapter is leasing the historic Psi Kappa Phi house on 14th.

Congrats to ADPI! I saw a few girls who got bids on social media and they looked so excited.
Hopefully we'll see what happens with Cincy, good luck to your chapter potentially returning.

The old Phi Psi house has always been gorgeous. It was originally built for Ohio's Lieutenant Governor.
