That's funny, because, in our Phi Manual, it also says that the Phi Mu's badge is voted most beautiful by NPC orgs. (I remember it, but I don't have my Phi Manual at my apartment, so this is obviously not verbatim.)

I think some writers of pledge manuals are trying to instill respect and awe in the impressionable minds of the new members! hehe
I was convinced that that was what my Phi manual said, however, I found it written in. I think that my Phi director or president told us that while i was in my pledge period. I do think it is amoung the most beautiful though.

I think Tri-Delta's is very pretty but that may be just because it is different than the others.

I would venture to say that all the badges had plenty of thought put into them - it's just not not as obvious

If I can't choose my own, I've always liked KKG and PiPhi. I also think overall a lot of the older versions are prettier than the standardized ones most groups are limited to today. I love some of the older ones with the opals .

If you want to look at some of the historic AOII badges I've collected over the years click here.

What beautiful, intricate design work the men's badges have! Quite stunning...

I'm envious of NPC orgs that have provisions in their constitution that allow for jeweled badges...I love that!! I wish we could do that. I'd love to put amethysts on mine!!

I think the NPC badges I like the most are Phi Sigma Sigma and Zeta Tau Alpha...but I'll always be partial to my Skull and Crossbones!

Wouldn't y'all think that EVERYONE thinks that their pin or badge is the nicest? I truly would hope that's so, anyhow!

sairose, I was just initiated into SAI last friday and got to wear my guiding star's pin (our pins haven't come in yet!)

Here's a picture I found of the Sigma Alpha Iota (women's music fraternity) badge:

It's kinda small, and is drawing, not an actual photograph, but you can see the pan pipes, surrounded by the greek letters Sigma Alpha Iota and pearls.

I think the SAI badge is really pretty, and the Kappa Alpha Theta badge as well, of course. As for GLO's I'm not in, I really like the Pi Phi arrow badge, very unique!

This is a great topic, when I was going through recuitment I loved seeing all of the different badges (I am a jewlery/fashion design major) I am a DZ, so of course I love my own ( I get it on Sunday!!) but other than mine I love the Phi Mu one, one of the girls I live with is a Phi Mu and I think is beautiful, and for boys I think the Sigma Nu badge and pledge pin are also beautiful.

Yup . . . that's why you're not supposed to answer your own organization's pin.

I love the Tri Delta pin, but I'm also partial to Kappa Kappa Gamma's, Delta Zeta's, Delta Gamma's, and Sigma Delta Tau's. I like symbol pins more than the letter pins too.

Besides the beauty of the X and the horseshoe...

I have always liked the Kappa Key (and used to admire my mom's) and I really like DG, too - so different looking.

Next to the Arrow, I quite like Kappa Kappa Gamma's and Delta Gamma's. But the the Arrow will always be the prettiest badge...to me of course
