I LOVE Indiana Jones and Harrisson Ford!!! Plus Sean Connery will be in this one as well. I can't wait! I'm getting excited just thinking about it!

I liked Raiders of the Lost Ark and I absolutely loved Temple of Doom. But the third Indy movie, with Sean Connery, I did not like at all and I ended up falling asleep on it in the movie theater. So, I really don't know if I'll go see this one in the theaters. But, it might end up being really good because now they have special effects that are twenty times better than they did when the series first started.

Hey Classylady...

I am sorry that you didn't enjoy "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"- It is my favorite of all. I thought that Sean Connery's performance added more comedy to the film. I also enjoyed the religious background that was provided in the movie. I thought that Connery and Ford complimented each other very well.

I am glad to hear that both actors will be in the upcoming films.

The Mexican- with Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts
I still don't know who the mexican is. This is the worst Brad Pitt movie I've ever seen.

I have seen "Sliding Doors" before I found it interesting!

The sixth sense- That is such a good movie. The ending is good.

Very Bad Things is great!
Kevin Smith is incredibly talented. As I understand it Jay and Silent Bob are now forever silent.

I also recommend The Last Supper. Its an indie film with, lo and behold, Cameron Diaz. Very sick, very funny as well.

Here's a vote for The Last Days of Disco. I enjoyed that film -- I seem to love these type of upper-class chronicles.

"What Dreams May Come" This is the most poinant, beautiful movie I have ever seen. But I can never find anyone to watch the whole thing with me, they always get lost in the symoblism.

***Am I the only one who thinks independent films try extremey too hard? I can't figure out heads or tails in such movies, either that or I am simply bored to tears. Case in point: Trois!!!

I saw Mr. Jealousy (featuring Marianne Jean-Baptiste of Secrets and Lies) and Intern last night. Once again, the mind boggles -- HC we aren't doing thoughtful romantic comedies like Mr. Jealousy. Instead, we have crap like Def Jam's How to Be a Player.

To RHOyal #1: I somewhat agree with indie films trying too hard, but remember the audience for such films is perceived to be different than the stereotypical moviegoing public.

Yeah, it came on Comedy Central yesterday. I am not Catholic, but I still thought it was hilarious! Still questioning Alanis Morissette as God though, lol...

This morning, thanks to the wonder of digital cable with a whole range of HBO, Showtime, Starz, Encore and Cinemax movie channels, I caught "Last Summer in the Hamptons," about a family of actors that has a summer home in the Hamptons (I will make it there before I die.

)

Good stuff, if you like talky, slightly neurotic, quasi-intellectual, mildly pretentious films, which I do. The elegant actor Roscoe Lee Browne appears as a friend of the lead character.

anyone see REQUIEM FOR A DREAM? that movie was incredible. the story was really sad, gripping and moving. i loved the special effects, too. i saw a little more of Marlon Wayons than i ever thought i would

but it was a deep movie...
two thumbs up!

Dr. T and the Women. Richard Gere actually did a good job in this, a sendup of big-huhred women from Dallas.

My favorite phrase in the flick is "Women are sacred." I don't remember the rest of it.

Last night, I saw Pret-a-Porter, or Ready to Wear, again. Good film (I love things about the fashion and clothing industry) although it's jarring to see Forest Whitaker as a flamboyant fashion designer.

Although it comes on HBO periodically, I have missed it for the last time. I am buying my own copy of Basquiat (1996). This movie is about a protege of Andy Warhol. It stars Jeffrey Wright, Willem Dafoe and future Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro.
