Wait a minute, VH1 Soul?? Where have I been? I need to get this hooked up. Only time I hear grown-folk music these days is when I'm able to stay up long enough to catch After Dark on BET...

^^^^^ You would LOVE VH1 Soul then...they play loads of grown folk music...loads of stuff from the 80's, 90's, Island Music, Funk, Underground artists..and it's Black Music Month so alot of documentaries on the evolution of Black Music...I love that they don't play alot of mainstream hip hop rather stuff ya can groove to, they separate programs by genres:
-Soul School
-Soul Squared
-Soul phradisiac
-Island Soul
-Live Soul
-my Soul Story..block of videos of artists...long lasting artists so you know the hour's gonna be good
they play contemporary stuff..but yeah you'll like it sorry for the long post, but it definitely is the business!!

VHI soul, classic, MTV Jams, etc etc
IT'S THE TRUTH!!!!!
They play videos where, if you see it at 8 AM, it's bound to come on again at 10PM.

I do take issue with some of the songs they deem 'old school' though, I was watching it last night and they did play some ol skool jams like 'la da dee la da da' (Crystal Waters), C+C Music Factory, and Michael's 'Rock with you', but urm they played Mase's "Feel So Good" right after (part of soul school), ok I was 13 when that song came out that ain't old school!

Okay, since I've been getting my feel again for GC, I tried very hard to avoid this thread, as I have it really bad for someone who caught my eye after 23 years.
Do you all remember Taimak Guarriello from Berry Gordy's "The Last Dragon". He is 42 years old now and looks like a five million dollar bill. He stays in excellent shape, and doesn't look like he's aged in the slightest. He keeps in contact with his fans on a regular basis and everything. But to have to LOOK at him actually hurts. It really, REALLY hurts. He just released a new fitness DVD and I'm soooo going to get it. You can check him out in two places:
http://www.myspace.com/taimak
http://www.taimak.tv
Believe me, you won't regret it.

I use to have a crush on him back in the day when he was in Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile" video, I thought he was super cute!! It is good to see that he is still magically delicious!

I'm at this point that, I'm actually willing to share him ... if it meant getting one date with him. He could tell me right now, "Listen, I can only spend time with you this weekend. Next weekend, I'll be in California with Cynthia. And the weekend after that, I'll be in France with Monique." I'd be like, "Oh, Taimak, you're so good to me."
