recruitment

I heard that Theta took five or six - several houses took fewer than 11 but I think it was by choice. Saw some pictures and it looks like the celebrations for bid day were similar to those for fall recruitment - lower scale, but still very nice.

I am so happy to hear that the UGA sororities did so well. I started this thread not as a helicopter parent, but rather a Greek women who cared about her alma mater..those who think to the contrary that's your opinion.
My daughter is now a sophmore at UGA. She recently joined a business fraternity and could not be happier. She chose her destiny and it was the right one for her. To say that I was not disappointed that my sorority at UGA who was also both of my sisters sorority cut her would be lying..I did feel bad..I think most of you out there with children would feel the same way. We were from out of town..she did not have anyone from her highschool at UGA..so in such a competitive enviroment, quite understandable.
In closing I hope that those of you who post regularly on this site will be a little bit more understanding not only of first time parent posters, but first time PNM postings. We are all just finding our way. Thanks to those who were always there for me with your kind words.

Can't you see why this just seems trollish? Honestly, who would dredge all that back up?
Please let it all go and just delete. Please.

It would seem that you two would be better off helping your fellow UGA pnm rather than trashing me. You both post 2 to 4 times a day on this site..Use your thoughts for the positive.

Um, they are not UGA pnm, so they can't help their "fellow" pnms. And don't you have anything better to do than count how many times people post here? (I'll save you the trouble - I post a great deal - mostly positive.) The thread seemed to be very positive until you chose to come in and add your two cents in the midst of the congratulatory posts. Having done so, you surely expected it would be commented on and so one is lead to believe that the whole reason you did so was in order to stir up trouble. Feel free to prove me wrong.

I don't know UGAalum but I can say without hesitation that Icelandelf is the epitome of a positive sorority woman who has personally helped many pnms, here and irl. She does not, however, suffer fools gladly. Trolls either. Though as a Norwegian, I'm always conflicted about the negative use of the word "troll".

To restore our focus - congratulations to all the new members of all sororities.

Did I not congratulate the new members..I do not stir up trouble. My post was very positive. I did not say they were PNM but rather could advise those who are as they have obviously been there more recently than me. I started this thread on a positive note ! I have way better things to do than count posts..however it is interesting that the same people surely remember mine. Maybe they should reread and see that I have learned so much from this site...I was only hoping that some would be happy that my child has found a great home at UGA.

That was funny. I needed a laugh from this board especially after all that drama last night. I got my first ever nastygram PM (2 of them as a matter of fact).

Congrats to all of the new pledges at UGA

Welcome to GreekChat!

Did most everyone at UGA get quota or close to it?
