Congratulations to the Miami Heat on a great series win. Dallas played much better tonight than in Games 3-5, but Miami had a little more at the end. Maybe it was the "desperate veterans" (mourning, payton, walker) who brought a little more fire.

Dwayne Wade is a straight up beast. Period.

Steeltrap, are you headed to the victory parade in South Beach?

Dallas is in mourning.... the Mavs express train has been derailed. Now the local sportscasters are crying 'wait 'til next year!' I'm expecting die-hard Mavs fans to disembowel themselves in front of the American Airlines Center or in Mark Cuban's driveway...

Congrats on the Heat for winning their first champeenship! (I may live in Dallas, but I still consider Miami my hometown!)

Congratulations D. Wade, Diesel, Riles & Co.

Even though Shaq was not the playoff diesel that I expect, I'm pleased with the result.

Maybe Mark Cuban can save a few bucks during the off season.

"Bad" officiating generally depends on your point of view, but truely bad officials are usually bad for both teams.

The officiating truly was piss poor.....but Dallas gave that series away by playing the exact same game that Detroit played against Miami in the Eastern Semis. No taking the ball to the hole and settling for jump shots. The Mavs played to preserve leads rather than take a killer instinct and try to win by 30. The better team lost the Finals and that is a fact.

I love when people complain about officiating.

Get Crazy Cuban to buy any other sports teams and I'll hate that team too. I saw him at a Bulls game once and he seriously needs a kick to the groin.

So the season is over - who do you want your team to get in the draft?

It looks like the Celts may be leaning towards Redick or Marcus Williams. It would be nice to get Williams; he's an NBA-ready point guard, can play defense, and is a pretty good shooter. Of course, the whole laptop-theft thing could be a problem...

If you're a Knicks fan, of course, you're probably just wishing you had a 1st round pick and hoping Thomas doesn't mess up the team anymore than he already has. Seriously, I'm wondering why anyone lets him run anything anymore.

I've been hearing that the Nuggets might take Gansey, which doesn't thrill me because I just kind of hate WVa. However, as long as it's not Pittsnogle, I can't complain too much. I'm kind of afraid of what's going to happen to the Nuggets after their late-season meltdown, but we'll see.

Also, this is hilarious.

I heard today that the Knicks traded away their first round pick for EDDIE CURRY???? What in God's name are they thinking.

Also, I was listening to ESPN Radio all morning driving from Dallas to Austin and the word on the street is that the Mavs are gearing up to sign Ben Wallace and or Kenyon Martin. I'm sorry , but if they could get the defensive boost from perennial Defensive MVP Wallace.....the titles will come soon.

Wallace would be a great fit in the Big D. Word from Detroit is that they want to re-sign him, but only for the right price.

Wallace was saying during the season that he wanted to stay in Detroit. That may not mean anything though.

Yes, the Knicks traded their first rounder for Curry. It was all part of Thomas' grand plan to sink the Knicks as quickly as possible. It's a weak draft, but still, a first rounder for a center who can't rebound or block shots?

The Bulls just signed Ben Wallace, 4 years, $60 million. Crazy. They're also trading Tyson Chandler, actually getting a good deal for him (P.J. Brown's expiring contract, and the possibility that J.R. Smith could turn into a player).

OMFG. The Bulls are going to kick ass.

And hey, at least the Nuggets are paying $$$$$$ to keep a dude who played THREE MINUTES last season. I hope that doesn't end up being a huge mistake.

The Bulls will be awesome, plus, they have the option of trading picks with the Knicks in 2007 (part of the legendary Eddy Curry trade). Next year's draft is very deep, so if the Knicks bomb again, the Bulls will look to be in good shape.

As for the Nuggets signing Nene; I've never understood the fascination with him. He always struck me as very overrated.
