You're kidding yourself if you think there's any correlation between trial length (in actual time/# of witnesses presented, not necessarily depth) and length of deliberation, especially in criminal cases.

Jesus, this thread is nuts.

Don't lie. You'll sleep outside the store. I would too. Yaaaaay!

the real reason why Michael Jackson got off was because of race.

We all know if Michael were a black man, he'd get busted.

OJ was white until they had a racial draft and the black team took him (I think they traded Powell and Rice for him but were disappointed when the whites refused to give up Eminem).

Remember last summer? We traded the black team Starang for the Wu Tang Clan. Arguably the greatest move ever by Bobby DePodesta.

I heard they used to bring death to a snake when they least expect...but that may just be a rumor

Collin

MJ fans continue to creep me the f*ck out:

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...ichael_jackson

"The Jackson Web site mjjsource.com trumpeted the acquittal with graphics declaring "Innocent" and showing a hand giving a victory sign as a fanfare plays. A scrolling calendar highlights historic events such as "Martin Luther King is born," "The Berlin Wall falls," "Nelson Mandela is freed," and finally, "June 13, 2005, Remember this date for it is a part of HIStory." The reference was to Jackson's 1995 album "HIStory: Past, Present, and Future Book I."

Uhhhh.

WHAT?

I'd like some discussion on why his fans are so rabid even knowing how weird he's gotten. Does he just attract the needy weirdos himself because he is one?

Anyway, continue on with whatever you guys were doing before I read that MJ walking free is on par with Nelson Mandela walking free.

Ah, but how long did Martha Stuart really stay in jail? She was supposed to stay, what 6 months or so, but she didn't stay that long. And now she's under "house arrest." Bullshit too.

If it had been any other rich person that did what Martha Stuart did, they would have been found guilty..point blank and sentenced longer than 6 months. Martha got off easy...just because of who she is.

You can't tell me that Michael Jackson was innocent. There is NO way in hell i'll believe that unless my Lord, Jesus Christ comes down from heaven and tells it to me face to face. There is something wrong when a grown ass man will share his bed with little children. It is NOT natural.

So, on the way home from work yesterday, I get a text message from one of my friends:

"MJ not guilty. Come celebrate with some Jesus juice at X's house at 8."

LOVE my friends.

What would have the Dove woman done if MJ had been found guilty? Would she have released them, then shot them? Strangled them? WTF?
