Question New Alumna Issues

Questions for you girls:

As a recent alumna I am realizing that it can be hard to stay involved with all things Sigma. I may be a super sigma, but I still miss stuff Anyway, when I was looking into becoming an AAB (and still am) back in October I realized I wasn't a "member in good standing" becasue I hadn't paid alumnae dues. The thing was we never got a reminder or notice about it! I knew that there were dues as an alumna but I always thought I would get something mailed to me to let me know it was due. Turns out in talking to other girls I graduated with and those who graduated before me had not realized this either.

My question is, do you guys have programs in place in your undergrad chapters to remind the graduating seniors about their obligations to Sigma post college? I was thinking about doing a little program just for the seniors about things I've learned since getting out, and figured this would be something else to mention. Since we are a newer chapter and I definately think alumnae involvement is so important I want to make sure the girls realize that they can still make a difference to Sigma and the foundation. Either that or a bunch of us were thinking of trying to get a chapter alumnae newsletter up and running to try and keep alumnae more involved. Do you guys have any ideas on that one while we're at it?

Thanks for any help!!

In April, we have our Northeastern OH alumnae group (covers Akron and Kent) come out and do a presentation that covers everything you were talking about.

great idea

Thats a really good idea! Our local alumnae chapter, (which I am in) is trying to regroup after being inactive so this may be a great way to start the chapter back up. Can you give me some idea of what you guys talk about, any handouts and things? Also at that time do they discuss Circle degreee? I am dying to go through it but haven't yet (*tear). I know I'm getting somewhat close to non-GC board appropriate discussion on that one, so if you can PM me that would be fab.

p.s. is it just me or do I post an insane amount on here with questions? thanks for putting up with me girls
