And she had her super sweet sixteen there. Gross. So many places that were much better.

Did you notice that she's now in the opening sequence of the show, though? At the beach. I hope she went to the dog beach and stepped in a big piece of poo.

I forget where it was I read it, but I think it was TWoP -- and someone posted an article ab out Jazmin saying that she a) had to give back her car to her rich, adoptive parents and b) she had to get a job . Apparently she had done something to piss them off and now she was working somewhere that wasn't akin to the lifestyle she supposedly had on TV.

Good bump of the thread, DBB. New season starts soon (along with The Hills 2!). My hope for the new season? No more Miami girls with quinces. For real.

I love to hate this show. But honestly I hope that someone finds some sweet sixteens that go beyond the car and the whining.

I'm hopeful too but doubtful. And I still LOVE that Divo Bijorn Chanel sling!!!
And still my other fave were the two friends in LaJolla (San Diego) who had their party @ the Hard Rock. Not so much the party but the money they raised was donated to a breast cancer org. I also liked that the one girl (brunette) loved "collared shirts. I love the preppyness of it all" I liked her classic look with a current twist. If I had a daughter, that's how I would want her to dress.

Today, MTV held the marathon with the reunion of celebrants.

What I don't get is why they're totally hyping up the season premiere on January 15th and they showed a new episode today?

Spoilers in white below:

Cher is celebrating her sweet 16 in Palm Harbor, FL (just outside of Tampa). A self-proclaimed princess, the opening scene consists of her "castle". It's a Mardi Gras/Masquerade themed party, and what surprised me most was the fact that the venue looked like it was an ordinary hall. Her mom bought her $13K earrings and she eventually got the $96K Jaguar she wanted and they had her party in a hall that looked like that? Maybe her town doesn't have fancy facilities, I don't know...but that surprised me.

According to her, people are still talking about her Bat Mitzvah, so this party had to be over the top.

Mom totally reminded me of Regina George's mom in MEAN GIRLS, especially when she totally encouraged Cher to wear the slutty dress (despite Cher's initial hesitations).

IMO, Cher wasn't as bratty and obnoxious as most of the other celebrants, but she definitely rated high in the ugly department with that honker and faux curls. And her dance routine -- MAN, she definitely wins the award for most embarassing sweet 16er EVER!

The Season 4 previews seem pretty "meh" so far.

DUDE. IT'S ERIE. The "beach" is Presque Isle.
We've seen time and time again how parents don't give a shit if their kids are ungrateful and spoiled.

But the parental behavior that bothered me the most was Jazmin's adoptive mom. She was aware of Jazmin's plan to un-VIP Brittney and she knew that Jazmin was going to intentionally hurt this girl. Yet she still took her to Brittney's house and allowed the cameras to film everything.

What kind of mother would allow her daughter to do such a thing?

Oh wait, that's right. Barbie and Ken only got involved when it was time to write a check. It was as if they were only there for show. I know adoption's a serious and sensitive issue, but I didn't get the same vibe from them as I did from the other Sweet 16 parents.

The triplets' party Janelle's quince are still my favorites from this season.

who really writes things like that?

Actually I'm friends on Myspace with a bunch of the girls that I was a camp counselor for, they're all turning 15 this year, and all their comments to each other are like that ... "UR SOOOOO CUTE" "SOOO HOT" "THESE GIRLS ARE MY LIFE, LUV U FOREVA !!" " OMG YOU LOOK AMAZING" I think it's typical for that age.

All I can say is that I'm so happy I'm not the only one that got drawn in by this trainwreck. I pray to God my children never, ever turn out like that.

Bumping because Season 3 starts Wednesday with a special one-hour episode...two parties, I believe.

Anyone catch the marathon/reunion this weekend?

The addiction continues!

Aaron Reid...WOW.

Best 16th birthday party ever. Must be nice to have Jermaine Dupri DJ the event, Mariah on the big screen, Kanye, and Puffy as your godfather. It's about time we got some real celebrities on the show...and not no kids of B-listers demanding everything and anything from their daddies.

My favorite episode so far...only because it was void of any whining for brand new cars. No dyeing your poodles pink like the Scottsdale girl. No OH MY GOD, Dior is CLOSED? No attitudes here, folks.

Congratulations L.A. and Pebbles. You went and raised your kid right.

Pffft!! The heck they did!
I wanted somebody to stick a sock in his mouth and shut his gelatinous behind up. Instead of throwing him a party, how about throwing his cushiony butt in a pool, on a bike, a treadmill or something. LOL

Call me sexist, but there is something about a dude having a "sweet 16" party that is sooooo...

Oh. no. you did not.

They just showed this episode, and I can not stop laughing. I have this vision in my head of them throwing his azz on the elliptical machine.

Yeah well daddy owns car dealerships. I'm sure she could take any of those cars off the lot just for the day. I highly doubt she had 2 cars sitting in the driveway just for her.
