But in Sims 2, there's different bars that you can buy and you can hire a bartender for parties. Is that not alcohol?
I can't play this expansion pack. i can't even play the game using more than 1 player! i just want an expansion pack so that i can get new decotating options. that's my favorite part

According to an article I read, there will be. You may even be invited to join "secret societies":
"In The Sims 2 University players for the first time will play through the new "young adult" life stage as their Sims head off to college and join the campus crowd. Whether they live in the dorms or rush a fraternity or sorority that's just the beginning… Sims can choose from one of 11 majors and by keeping their grades on track, they'll secure a final degree and open up 4 new career paths. Players will enjoy all-new college based wants and fears that are tied to their Sims' social life and academic goals which will lead to new rewards and powers that will help them achieve their goals and aspirations in college and beyond.
Pranks, parties and college social interactions add to the excitement while your Sims explore campus locations such as college lounges, pool halls, gyms and coffee houses. As in real life, if your Sims start running low on funds, they can earn Simoleans by picking up a part time job, like tutoring, or engaging in riskier affairs like printing money as a member of the "secret society."

I haven't played Sims 2 in a long time. Looks like I'll have to dust it off in March!

Check eBay. I'm getting ready to buy the Sims 2 and I believe they have it on there as Buy It Now for as low as $18.00

another online review -- looks fun! :)
Review from gameshout -
http://www.gameshout.com/news/022005/article438.htm
The first of what is expected to be a long list of expansion packs for The Sims 2 entitled The Sims 2 University is set to release soon. So what features have been lined up in this little expansion pack for us to mess around with? Well the ability to go to University and College of course! Why spend hard earned money and time actually working hard in the real world to get a higher education when you can pull out a couple of bucks to buy a video game that emulates it. Like every expansion pack they released for the original Sims game this expansion does not fall short of making you realize how much of a life you truly lack when playing a video game that in most respects reenacts life.
In The Sims 2 University, players will be able to play through the new "young adult" life stage for the very first time as their Sims head off to university and take part in the amazing world of campus life. Whether they live in the halls or rush a fraternity or sorority that's just the beginning...Sims can choose from one of 11 courses and by keeping their grades on track, they'll secure a final degree and open up 4 new career paths. Players will enjoy all-new university based wants and fears that are tied to their Sims' social life and academic goals which will lead to new rewards and powers that will help them achieve their goals and aspirations in university and beyond. But hey, who cares about academic goals, all I want to do is open up a fraternity like in that one movie Animal House!
Pranks, parties and university social interactions add to the excitement while your Sims explore campus locations such as university lounges, pool halls, gyms and coffee houses. As in real life, if your Sims start running low on funds, they can earn cash by picking up a part time job, like tutoring, or engaging in riskier affairs like printing money as a member of the "secret society." It is no doubt in my mind that The Sims 2 University will be one great game to play; unfortunately it is just not for me. Like all expansion packs, you will need the original Sims 2 game to play its University expansion. The Sims 2 University is set to release on November 3rd of this year so for you Sims addicts you still have quite some time to wait before you can indulge yourself into another part of Sims style life.

I read somewhere that there's also a hookah that can be used to smoke some sort of Sims-drug that is totally legal but very very relaxing...and possibly munchy-causing

I've played it- it's fun! It kinda sucks though because there aren't "real" Greek letters. You can still name your sorority house whatever you want though- you just can't have those pretty light-up letters on the outside

If I ever catch any of my [undergrad] brothers playing this game, I will smash whatever they are playing it on. This is absolutly absurd, you are in college, go do these things in real life.

One of my sisters made a bunch of us in Sims 2, and we live in big mansion. But then she decided to make the rest of our sorority and she couldn't add more people to our household, so she had to have another house across the street for the rest of the sorority. It was really cute because some of the Sims she made really looked like the girls in my sorority, though not me. I'm kind of a manly looking Sim though .
