graduation cords?
So... I'm graduating really soon!!!!
I have some Delta Sigma Pi cords that I wanted to wear to show how excited and proud I am to be a Deltasig, but I also wanted some ADPi cords for the same reasons.
Does our EO offer the braided cords anywhere (or even just the two-color cords)? Or does anyone know where I can order some with maybe our colors?
I thought of using blue and white glitter and writing ADP on the top of my grad hat, but I'm not sure if that will fly at this university

Our school did stolls for graduation. On one end they had the crest and the other had our letters. They were azure blue and white and really classy and looked great with different cords. We had 3 sororities and they all did it. Just a suggestion. I'll see if I can dig up a picture of what they looked like.

TP I'm curious what school do you go to? It seems so odd that a school would not be cool with the students decorating their caps. IMPO.
I decorated my cap with ADPi (greek letters) on it in the dead center so everyone could see.

Hoping in here
Sorry to jump in your discussion....but...here is an idea...
Our Columbus area alumnae chapter does this as a fundraiser for a scholarship they award...(they got an official license from our EO so it is all kosher)....
They made a cut out of a beautiful white quatrefoil (our badge shape)bordered with Rose with a Phi Mu in the center that fits on the mortar board. There is a cut in it to allow for your tassel. Very elegant and nice...
perhaps a Diamond shape of similar quality????

sageofages - that sounds really pretty i may think into trying something like that !
ASUADPi - University of North Texas. People may or may not be doing that... I really don't know b/c I've never been able to attend graduation here... so that's why I wasn't sure if it would "fly" at the school.
hunnie843- that sounds really nice!!! I never even thought of azure blue stoles (sp?)... I'm going to try some random Google magic and see if there are any retailers that could possibly make them like that

Are you kidding? UNT lets you do pretty much anything to your caps. I have some great pictures! The crest stolls are great. I have seen one before. I think you can even order some online. Look up greek stolls. And good luck with that hat!!!

My chapter gave out cords to all the graduating seniors... We would get them through the bookstore on campus... They had some in random colors in storage... Also, they were able to order them in any colors people wanted...

ok.. i waited entirely too long to see about getting one of those sash-things made... and I never went back to campus to see if the bookstore had any cords (who would seriously go back to campus after being DONE with school?! ) so I went ahead and made a glitter replica of our pin on my hat (since the hat is diamond shape... hehee) ... it's still drying, so I will post pics tomorrow.
I'm so excited! yay for graduation!
ETA: the "replica" is the pin minus the clasped hands. as much as i tried, it just wasn't going to work out b/c unfortunately i'm not *that* artistically inclined ... esp. with glitter

I can't wait to see the picture Especially since I didn't do anything with my cap, and now I'm wishing I would have!

Hey Sisters,
I just graduated on the 11th of Dec and there were 6 Adpi's from my chapter who graduated with me. Our school didn't supply the cords or stolls for Greek Organizations, but we all ordered ours from a bridal shop, we all got white with blue ADPI Greek letters on one side of the stoll and 1851 on the opposite side. KA, PHI MU and Theta Chi all did the same this year. CONGRATS on Graduating, I know what a relief it feels like!
TT love
Gena
