My freshman year, I worked at the DC (Dining Commons) for spending money. Then my sister-mother in AGD got me an awesome job as a campus operator. I worked mainly weekends, which were slow at the switchboard and could do homework when it was slow. Once in the Occupational Therapy program, I added on a job as a rehab aide in a group for closed head injured adults. I worked both jobs for a little less than a year, then went to just the rehab aide job as I made more money there, worked more hours and got great pre-OT/resume building experience. The last semester of my senior year, my dad said "You've been working hard for a long time and your brother is done with school, take the semester off from working and we'll give you money". That was soooooooo awesome. I did all that while maintaining a high GPA to keep my academic scholarship and he was proud
