Hey gmuteke, I know that question wasn't addressed to me but people ask me that all of the time. I am always like ehhhh, it runs. What are the specs on yours? I have a hewlett packard pavillion laptop. I don't know much about it because I tore the sticker off of it and threw it away the first day I got it.

::whips out geek id card::
My current machine is a middle of the road 500mghz processor with two hard drives of 10 and 5 gig respectively. it's got 64mg RAM (i need more to run better games), and comes equipped with a floppy and cd rom, which is becoming a cd r-w in the fall hopefully. the best part is it's hooked up to my family's cable modem, giving me faaaaaaast online time.

Is how fast it is determined by the processor???? Sorry, I can be pretty computer illiterate sometimes. I kept my sticker though, so if you tell me what it is I'm looking for I PROBABLY can find it

the main things that determine how fast your machine is, are the processor speed and RAM. If either one is too light, your computer will run slow. my laptop is 3 years old and is now junk, and i paid 4 grand for it! It's a PII 233 Mhz Processor, with 96 MB RAM. It seemed real fast when I got it. Now, I can't wait to get rid of it!

The type of processor makes a big difference as well. A celeron 433 won't run anywhere as fast a pentium 433. A lot of ppl say that pentiums actually aren't the best processors on the market.
