1) Cinnamon Toast Crunch
2) Lucky Charms
3) Kix with an obscene amount of sugar
And mommy taught me that all cereal tastes better with a layer of heavy cream on top

I started this thread in 2004 and to this day my favorites are still Corn Pops, Sugar Smacks and Kix. Sugar Smacks have gone through a name change though; they are "Honey Smacks" now, which makes them sound so much more nutritious don't you think? (insert eyeroll here).
I've since discovered Quaker Steel Cut Oatmeal which is awesome but takes some time to prepare. A bowl of that with a splash of half and half (okay, okay, more than a splash) and some brown sugar is yummers!

Top 4 with varying grams of sugar:
Honey Bunches of Oats with Peaches
Fruity Pebbles
Apple Jacks
Frosted Flakes

We didn't get to eat the sugary cereals as kids, so when I first went off to college and saw the wall of cereal bins in the Dining Hall filled with all the "Forbidden Froot (Loops)", I kind of went nuts.
That said here are my favorites - in no particular order:
Honey Nut Cheerios
Golden Grahams
Lucky Charms
Cap'n Crunch
Cocoa Krispies
And by this, I mean the generic versions of any of these...
For hot cereal - it's grits. And I serve grits for dinner too, with a little cheese and some jalapenos.
Oatmeal is OK, but grits....aaaahhh.

My favorite cereal is any that I didn't have to drag myself to the grocery store to buy.

I will rarely eat Cream of Wheat or grits with butter and sugar. I rarely eat that but it is tasty.

Have you ever eaten shrimp and grits? I see it on some menus and it sounds intriguing because I like both shrimp and grits but I've never eaten them together.

Then you've been missing out. Good shrimp and grits (cheese a must) are divine.
FYI, the best recipe I know. This recipe is good, too.

I can see that with grits, but not Cream of Wheat. Interesting.
The only cereal I'll eat these days is Raisin Bran Crunch.
