Does MySpace usually have this much trouble?

For some reason my "schools" section has disappeared. I went to the "edit profile" section and under the schools tab, it says that it's temporarily unavailable. WTF?

And when I'm signed in and go to my "homepage," the area where you can post a new blog has also disappeared!

Is it always this full of code mess ups?

They are constantly doing maintenance to different parts of the site.

Yesterday it was the schools and blog, the other day I couldn't send mail for a while or even view my groups.

Luckily it's usually just temporary...and whenever they take the site down, it's only for a little bit while they improve the site. But I do have to admit that the PacMan gets annoying after a while.

But with all free sites we all just hafta suck it in when they do maintenance because it's not like we pay for anything, right?

More MySpace issues... tech-related:

Honestly, I've had no major issues with it. However, my brother and 2 of my sisters have gotten a lot of spyware/pop ups etc. It got to the point where my brother basically needed a new computer and one of my sisters is looking like she's needing the same.

I'll ask where they've been surfing (because if you start looking at porn without a firewall, you are in trouble...). They all say they barely surf at all... they just check MySpace. My sister had had the internet for THREE days and her compy is just awful.

I'm just trying to fathom how one website can *possibly* be causing so many issues and I was wondering if anyone else was having similar issues.

The obvious answer is: Duh... get a firewall and pop up blocker. But not everyone does.

Sorry... just ranting. I've been asked to fix too many computers lately.
