I don't pay attention to commercials, lol but I was tripping to see the Black woman get out of her car to check on Lynette and Matt.

I was getting ready to go throw a load of clothes in the wash and did a double-take. I forgot for a minute there that I was watching ABC during prime-time Sunday night and I was not watching a show targeting my people. . .

TWOP Commentary is finally up
Lynette and Matt settle in to sleep. Lynette mumbles something about Matt setting up the coffee maker. Whiny, whiny -- and why does it matter, on the weekend, if they have to wait five extra minutes for the coffee to brew? I assume the next day is a weekend day, at any rate, because who shops for a water heater on a weekday if it's not an emergency, which this doesn't appear to be. On the other hand, who the hell buys a water heater at the mall? Anyway, Lynette nags Gay Matt into getting out of bed to go downstairs to set up the coffee maker.
Right on, Jessica!! Especially that whole water heater AT THE MALL storyline. I have never purchased one myself but I figured Lowes or Home Depot would have it before Kaufmann's or Dillards.
Meanwhile, Claire is loading the washer. In the dead of night. And, mid-load, she notices that there's some baby food on her robe, and she tosses it into the washer along with everything else, leaving her naked. In someone else's house. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but let's go with it. But tragically, and unsurprisingly, as Claire skitters back to her room naked -- and why was she walking around naked under her robe in a house with three little boys anyway?-- she runs into Gay Matt, who is, of course, utterly entranced by Claire's boobies.
Exactly!! I don't do naked at work which is essentially where Claire is. It was on the rinse cycle which can be STOPPED. Why not run into your room, put some pajamas on and then throw the robe in the washing machine?

And even if all the above some how managed to happen, who would stand there and have a conversation while they been caught prancing around the house naked?

Guess Susan figgered that she'd need a ride back to the city (according to her, som 90 minutes away) and was better off not doing anything.
But how 'bout Mr. Selfish? Why Carlos gon' try to impregnate his wife, knowing that he'll probably end up back in jail - federal prison, no less - and even if he doesn't, he won't be working like he was previously.

Carlos need not mess around like that. So you're going to get Gabby prego and then you go to prison for 5 years which means you will miss 5 years of your kid's life. Gabrielle makes $300 a modeling job which will not care for her and a kid.
I was however tickled at her going across the street to eat the chicken.
LMAO @ Bree and the pharmacist. When he shot his toe off, LMAO

Okay, I'm wondering how any of these people can afford to live on Wisteria Lane? I mean, Lynette's husband and Bree's soon-to-be husband both have jobs. But how can the restof these chicks afford to sit around and play poker in the middle of the day. Can't wait until next week.

Susan's an illustrator for kids' books + her alimony check, I guess.
The homes don't appear that grand on Wisteria Lane but for real, what does Lynette's husband do to be able to afford 2 cars, 4 kids, the former nanny, and all those toys. Lynette, though, usually appears very homely and unkempt.

Okay, I'm obsessed with it, but I was quite surprised that she wasn't wearing a durn choker to bed last week when hubby saw the nannies'. . . um. . . goodies.
Actually, with them bad boys, it's a wonder she has time to put it on. I think that's about as much time as she has for her make-up routine.

LOL, it was not until TWOP called attention to Lynette's chokers that I noticed them. Lynette needs a Jenny Jones makeover.

If I remember correctly from the 1st episode Lynette is a former business/advertising executive. Her husband is in sales of some kind.

I don't know where Wisteria Lane is (i.e. what state), but please do realize that what cost X in one state all too often costs 5X in a different state. I am learning this first hand, as houses that I consider crap are going for $500,000 in D.C. and I KNOW they would go for $45,000 in Houston.
As I look for a house here, I keep getting duped. I open the paper to a home that to me in my TX mentality would be worth $200,000 and do I get a reality check because in VA/MD its asking $1.2 million. So, perhaps Wisteria Lane is in a place with a real estate market more DC than Houston .
