You'll think I'm weird for this, but I SWEAR it was totally by coincidence.

Bryan.

I dated 6 bryans in a row and the 6th is now my fiance.

Guess I never have to worry about saying the wrong name . . .

Talking

I don't have favorite guy names, but I always associate names w/ certain attributes. These aren't intended to offend anyone, and I don't think they always apply. They're just observations of mine over the past few years

For example:
  • JOHN (Not Jonathan, JOHN... there's a difference, ask them): tall, thin, SMART, and funny, but funny in a strange way.
  • JOSH and JASON: ALWAYS trouble. (These were the boys in 3rd grade who always got in trouble for teasing people.)
Jasons tend to be nicer than Josh's when they get older, though. And more subtle about their trouble-making.
  • Mike: your All-American, nice, friendly guy. He might be a jock, might be in the honor society, but your parents and all of the school loved him.
  • Dan: Smart, but lacks common sense. Will get a 4.0 but also break things.
  • Steve: Really nice. Not too smart, not too dumb. A "friend" kind of guy.
  • Eric (with a "c", not "k"): Tall, good looking. Usually in drama/choir/showchoir in high school. Either gay or the most "typical" middle-class upstanding citizen, lives in the suburbs w/ the fam (2.3 kids and a dog, the SUV, everything). Usually genuinely happy people. (They could be gay and have that, but i think you get the point).
  • Erik (with a "k", not "c"): Also tall and good looking. Might have been in drama. A little more hippie-ish, though. More likely to live on the west coast and be a surfer or big city kind of guy. Also tend to be very happy.
  • Sean (any spelling): Trouble, but the kind of bad boy that you will fall for. And not too much trouble, so it's a lot of fun. Very nice and usually gentlemen, despite their trouble-making.
  • Carlos/Los: Always a lot of fun, a "people person". Like to have a good time, but nothing too daring.
  • Chris: Nice, get into trouble without meaning to. Laid back.

Okay, I feel like I'm writing horoscopes! Time to stop!! Hope you laughed a lot at these!!

FI's name is John, and that is eerily correct.

I like:
Cliff

SilverTurtle, that was very cute and amusing! I agree with some of them... Except for John...the ones that I have met are all buff, athletic, but not much stuff going on in their heads!

ROFL! This describes *my* Sean to the T! His problem is that he is too smart for his own good--and sometimes (only *sometimes!*) he is too clever for me! There are days when I don't know whether to strangle or hug him, but he is soooo cute that hugs always seem to win out. I just can't help myself.
