In general I'm all for deferred rush. But it truely depends on the school. For instance, I know for a fact that at James Madison my sorority won't even take a legacy who isn't a first semester freshman. That's just harsh.

My school had deferred rush, which is the best thing, in my opinion. It gave me time to decide whether or not Greek life was right for me. It may be true that the numbers rushing may be smaller, but I think those who do go through rush in the Spring (as opposed to those who rush before classes even start) will be less likely to quit.

For those whose schools changed from Fall to Deferred...how did it affect numbers?
