I hate the anxiety of a balloon about to pop. I get angry when a person threatens to pop a balloon in front of me.
I'm also claustrophobic so I can empathize with tri deezy.

This is only weird because I love mice, rats, and tarantulas, but I'm scared to death of house spiders, mice (like the ones that get in the house) and sewer rats that come through the toilets?.. What's weird is my tarantula has grown to fill my whole hand now and I hold her a lot, but I'm petrified of a house spider no bigger than my fingernail.

Falling backwards. On an escalator, a car going backwards over a cliff or down a hill, anything like that. I do OK at the amusement park on the pirate ship & when they had the loop that went forwards then backwards though.
I am also terrified of bats but I think that's pretty common.

That "Emergency Broadcast Test" noise that comes on around 3 am.
Any sudden, loud, noise like a siren.
Being kidnapped.
Falling off of anything into water.

I am very freaked out by clowns! I can handle Ronald McDonald and Grandma from the Big Apple Circus - but if there are any on TV, my DH will tell me to cover my eyes then let me know when it's safe!
I also hate staplers. I put a staple through my thumb when I was younger. Now anytime one needs to be refilled, I have to ask a coworker to open up the top and slam it down to make sure it's closed!
The same thing with paper cutters and Xacto blades. I sliced a small portion of my left index finger off with a blade at work a few years ago. It hasn't grown back the same!

It was WAY worse back in the day (early 70s). I would literally run away from the TV and hide my face in my mother's lap because I hated that sound so much. I don't know when I got old enough to realize I could turn the sound down until it was over.

You know, I am so glad I'm not the only one! When I was a kid, I swear they didn't test the system *that* often, and I don't ever remember it actually being used. I sort of grew up believing that if you ever heard it and it wasn't a test, nuclear war or something was imminent.
So now when I hear those tests (inevitably in the middle of the night), they freak me out a bit. Also because now the EBS is used at the drop of a hat, it seems - even for freaking severe thunderstorm warnings. And, I'm terrified of tornadoes, so I hear it and am afraid a tornado is coming!
BTW, I suppose that could be my weird fear. I don't live in tornado alley, and they're not THAT common around here *knock wood* - but I'm always afraid they're lurking in thunderstorms.

OMG yes! Those things totally get me too! Tornado sirens I think I can handle the best...I'm not sure why, maybe because they're always far off in the distance for me. But I HATE the "Emergency Broadcast Test" so much! I seriously feel so uneasy for like an hour after. And the worst is when it's unfortunately a real alert. I've seen amber alerts (for kidnappings) and that just freaks the hell out of me. Ugh, I just wanna hide under my blankets from thinking about it.
Certain other sirens bother me too...specifically fire alarms that talk! I stayed with my cousin when I went to visit her at college once, and her apartment building had these fire alarms that could talk. Someone pulled it at 3am (we were still up, so at least I wasn't scared out of my sleep), and it started talking. It went like "WARNING: THERE IS AN EMERGENCY IN THE BUILDING". And my old apartment had fire alarms that talked, too. It yelled "Fire! Fire!" when the fire alarm went off (we obviously set it off a few times while cooking...lol). And once, I heard they neighbors' alarm say "Warning! Carbon Monoxide!" cause they had a leak.
UGHHH!! I'm definitely going to go hide under my covers now...

I'm scared of bridges, but not driving over them, or being in a vehicle on them. I'm only afraid of walking over bridges; I think it's because I don't trust that the people I'm walking with won't push me over. When I was in middle school the nearest movie theater was in walking distance but it was over a huge drawbridge so I always made my friends walk several feet in front of me and not look at or talk to me until we crossed.

Elevators! I'm very claustophobic.
Insane people or insanity in general
Smurfs. I'm not actually afraid of them but they freak me out.
And lately this photo keeps popping up on my usual eBay searches. It freaks me out and makes me instantly gag. I don't even know what it's for. Whatever it is, I wish they'd stop selling it.

I'm in love with you for being scared of elevators like me. I seriously want to move to the middle of nowhere so that I never have to come across one. The funny thing is that if you were in one with me, you'd never know! I hide it so well.... Also: I would LOVE to know what you're searching on eBay. haha
