Walk for Diabetes Fundraiser
Lexington, KY GC'ers and GC Lurkers,
Once again it's time for the annual Walk for Diabetes fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. It takes place on June 12th at Keeneland race track in Lexington. Registration begins at 7:30. All those who raise $50 or more will receive a t-shirt. All donations are tax-deductible and go to benefit diabetes education and research for a cure and treatments.
Please consider this as a worthy cause as Diabetes kills more individuals each year than AIDS, most people who have this terrible disease do not know they have it, it is a disease that is on a fast uprise in this country, as well as being the #1 endocrine problem in the USA . Kentucky also leads the nation in Diabetes cases per capita.
