I don't think tattoos are ladylike, so I would not get a tattoo of anything, much less anything sorority related. Others might disagree with me, and I encourage you to do what is right for you, but that's my personal reason for not tattooing myself.

I don't like tattoos, and if I did I would never get our letters or crest. A small red rose would be okay, or just the pan pipes...but never the letters or crest.

all i could think of when i read this is "does that mean i would have to wear badge attire ALL the time?"
seriously, we're supposed to be dressed (at min, no jeans/sweats) when wearing badges. now if you had a tatoo of a badge, does that mean badge attire constantly??
i think i'm getting another tattoo of doplins....but i wanted a dolphin tattoo WAAAAAAAAAAAY before we even bacame tri delta. i'm talking high school...i have to wait at least another year before my next tattoo though...altough, maybe a trident. that could be cool...hmmm...

If you have a tatoo of something like your letters or your crest, especially in a visible place, then you're wearing letters 24/7 and anything that you do could reflect back on the organization.

I have sisters that have things associated with DZ tattooed on them but I would not personally do it for a long time. One of my sisters has a gorgious Delta and a Zeta on her lowe back with roses and vines around it, its really really nice but the sister she went to get it with disaffiliated that summer. Another one of my sisters has her pledge class turtle which is holding the kilarney rose on her lower back and its so cute. These are in places that you can't see them all the time and I think that is where they should be. If I ever personally got anything tho to do with my sorority I would get a little turtle on my ankle because I actually want a turtle tattoo and it would mean something to me since it is my sorority animal and oh so cute. That won't be for a long time tho, just got my first tattoo on Valentine's Day and no more for a while.

I have 2 tattoos... both really small and easy to cover up. One is a butterfly on my left shoulderblade, and the other is a sun (one of our symbols) with a Xi in the middle (our pledge class). I didn't get our letters because we were founded to affiliate with a national, which means our letters aren't permanent.I love my tattoos, but I wouldn't get one where it couldn't be covered up.

I personally wouldn't get a tattoo associated with my sorority. I want one and already know what I want (A J w/a fairy sitting in the J on my right hip) but I don't think I would want a anchor...yellow rose is cool but if I was to get a rose, it be blue...
I know a few GPhiB's last semester went and got tattoo's together. Some got Terry Bears and some didn't get sorority related tattoos. A friend of mine who is an SAE got the phonix of SAE.

I would.
I have mine planned for this summer actually. I'm getting a turtle, but outlines only (kind of tribal-ish, but in green instead of black) with a hibiscus flower (my pledge class) in pink on the shell
(instead of naming our pledge classes with Greek letters, the class names themselves with a representational word).
I want to get a small Delta and Zeta on it too.
This will be in a semi-hidden location also. (only visable if I show you)
I already have tattoos, and I plan on getting a few more. All but one of mine is hidden.
I have a fear of needles, yet, I love tats and piercings.. odd
