You need to remember that the board of directors are your brothers, not some group of intimidating men, but your brothers. Smile, take a deep breath and be yourself!

What I remember most about instructor school training.
The audience doesn't know your script so if you happen to forget something, keep going and act like whatever you say next is supposed to be in the speech.
Best of luck!

One of our sisters who's graduating Saturday is going to a consultant for KD this next year. She's an AMAZING woman and she racked up awards at our last convention. I wouldn't be suprised if she was a future national president for KD.

I have a question for the board: what exactly is a consultant? Is that position(s) = National Officer? I would love some clarification since I have noticed the differences in structure and usage of certain terminology between IFC/NPC and NPHC organizations...
Thank you in advance.

suntzu,
A consultant (they have slightly varying names) is a recent graduate who travels from chapter to chapter and acts as a representative of the national organization. They help the chapters with rush, officer transition and things like that. They do this for one year.
Some groups also have residential-type consultants that stay with one chapter for an extended period of time. They often stay with colonies that are on their way to becoming a chapter or sometimes chapters that are in a rebuilding phase.
