This might be old news for some...but its new to me...
UPN has announced a new show for the fall line up:

The series is also a professional reunion for real-life couple Kodjoe and Parker, who play an on-again, off-again pair on Showtime's family drama Soul Food, which wraps its five-season run with its series finale on May 26.

This thread is hilarious! I am truly ROTFL!!!
Ok, here's my 8 cents...
- Did anyone notice how Lem's mustache goes all the way from his nose to his lip? It looks really weird. I just noticed it in this episode. I was mad at Bird for taking off his oxygen. It would have been real if he started gagging at that point. "uhh, uhh, I can't breathe."
- Terry, go to ATL and leave well enough alone with Damon. The sex was good, but it was just for old times sake, please let that be enough.
- Max, you look like a d*** fool with a fur coat on anytime past February, and guess what, it's May! Plus, no one else knows the argument you and Kenny had, so they just think you look like an escaped mental patient. And I know you're hot!
- Kenny, shut up.
Also, how much did they sell the business for? Why did Lem need to help Nyla anyway? All she had to do was walk away. Nyla had some nerve coming to the hospital and making calls. What illness did Malik have? Did he pass it to Bird? Well, why did she think she was preggers?
I can't believe this show is going off.

On TJMS the finale was discussed. The concensus was that SF isn't receiving the "hype" like Friends received is b/c SF is on cable. Therefore, most won't be able to see it.
I disagree. Look at how SATC's finale was publicized ALL OVER. It's on HBO. That's cable. Maybe the difference is is that MORE viewers have HBO rather than Showtime.
Why do you think the SF Finale isn't or hasn't drawn as much attention (besides the OBVIOUS)?

YAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Terri and Damon got married!!! Terri may be pregnant....
Bird was talking about she was outside of herself when she was "with" Malik. Yeah, whatever. Malik surely was inside.... Bird needs to stop.
Kenny and Max need to call Gamblers Anonymous because they are tripping!

The show hasn't been off for 60 seconds yet and I am sad!!! I can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes from the beginning. I need the entire series on DVD. I need one of those recordable DVD things. I'd pay for this series.
Why did Mario Van Peebles look like a broke azz Maxwell? Does he think that he is sexy?
Did they name the baby girl "LemonPepper," "Lemuella," "Lemon Merigue," or whatever the name was?
Twins? Whoa....
Terri just threw caution to the wind and did the spontaneous thing, huh? Fabulous. I'm glad that she wound up happy in the end.

I've been in tears since Fantasia won and this didn't help any!!
My mom was yelling at the tv and walked away when Kenny & Max lost their money...
Poor Ahmad, blaming his acne on the family drama...
Mario Van Peeples looked like a broke down Maxwell for real....did he really think it was appropriate to leave his dinner date to deal with fans he just met?? Buster.
Call me a romantic fool but I'm happy Terri and Damon got back together...did anyone see the wedding coming??
I don't know why Soul Food hasn't received its due or a proper goodbye as far as media hype-perhaps because they show a Black family that is striving to do well and not succomb to popular stereotypes and blackface that masks itself as comedy on UPN and 'keepin in real'??
I for one want to raise a toast...to the cast and crew of Soul Food...the writers may have driven me crazy with inconsistencies (Jeremiah should be 6 or 7 by now...and Ahmad should be in college-his graduation should have been a part of this finale)...but kudos to all involved for putting out a quality product. I for one will be in line the day each set of DVD's are finally released.
If anyone knows the name of the song that was played during Terri/Damon's wedding please post!

Is it just me or was the last episode kinda wack? I'm glad that Damon and Terry got married, but other than that, it wasn't good...is anybody else feeling me?

I, too, am glad that Terri and Damon got married. I am an admitted hoper of happily ever after forever.
Anyway did you all hear when Terri made her toast, she said NIECES and NEPHEW!!! I was like lawd she forgot about Jeremiah.
I fell out when Ahmad mentioned his acne. I was like boo, I know it's hard. It's even harder watching them. Then when Bird touched his face
I was AS HAYLE when I saw what they did to Lem's store.
You know what my favorite part of Soul Food has been? Watching Terri become friends with Lem.
I started crying once the sisters sat together in the kitchen and talked.
Oh and how dare Lem and Bird get freaky LIKE DAT on Mother Joe's table?!?!?!
Mario Van Peebles has been looking like a dirty sex object for years since after New Jack City.
I wish Terri had stayed in Chicago to make it more believable that she comes to every Sunday dinner.
Oh and it was definitely like Stardusttwin stated in terms of why SF's finale was not as heavily touted. It was OUR show and we will miss it.
It's soooooooooo hard to say goodbyyyyyyyyye to Soul Food!!
Oh but I join the toast.
To the Soul Food cast and crew: Thanks for telling a story that I loved and that showed love and triumph within a Black family. Thanks for telling a story that showed Black men and women loving each other and fighting to stay together through thick and thin. Thank you for the soundtrack. Just thank you for a job well done. It was long overdue for a story like this. I love yall and will miss yall. Please please please come back.
Bittersweet memories, la la la la. . . (drawing a blank)

First off let me say that I feel like the show needed to have been at least 2 hours. There were way to many loose ends to clear up in an hour, and the hour went fast as hell. I just feel that something was missing...I'm not sure what....but somethng is/was missing.
When Ahmad tried to blame family drama on his break out, I was laughing so hard. He knows that stuff looks a complete mess. I felt the same way when Bird touched his face....I was like oooooooo Did anyone notice that when Ahmad left the kitchen from talking to mama Joe that his shirt was out of his pants, and when he entered the living room, it was tucked it.
I didn't see the Terri/Damon wedding taking place, but I was pleasantly surprised. That was really, really nice. I like how when Damon showed up at the hotel, and she listened to him, and was then like I have moved on. It was great to see the flash back to when Terri and Damon first met...sidenote...he needs to look at those pics and see that his face looks much better with a little bit of hair on his head, and no beard. I also didn't see Terri quitting the law firm that was going to put her name in stone as a partner.
As for Mario Van Peeples....a hot mess, the entire thing from his hair to the way he left her for those fans. Y'all dig how she gave his books back to him...I was falling out.
I was glad that they showed that Lem's store was a success, and they moved on up like George and Weezie.
Y'all I am really going to miss this show. I mean damn!!!!!

I'm feeling you. I still did not want Terri to marry Damon.
