Someone else in Boston?!?!
Those furniture ads are wild. I thought the same thing when I heard the oooh ahhh. The ads are all SO corny. I wonder why ALL furniture ads have to be so corny. No matter what part of the country they are from, the commercial is corny.
BTW, Speaking of ads, What do you guys think about Radio ads? THey have got to be THE worst.

She walks in the beauty shop complaining about not having any money and her car needs repairing. One of the customers tells her to go to Mo Money Taxes. The next day after filing the taxes she is now riding a Lexus. At the end of the commerical, a white dude says: Mo money taxes, it's on like a pot of neck bones then he says ughhhhh like Master P. Can we say ghetto to the tenth power? I wonder who was the mastermind behind that trash?

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about!!!!!!!! I hate that commercial. My question is why do all of the bootleg/ghetto/lawyer commercials come on in the middle of the day?

Here in Columbus, we have a major dealership called Ricart Ford, and their slogan is "Ricart Ford. We're DEALIN'"
This commercial has been going on since the mid '80s. The main huckster is Fred Ricart, and back in the day he would play his guitar making music videos and singing songs fracturing pop tunes to suit his dealership. Ex: The Beach Boys "Fun, Fun, Fun". He would sing "We're having fun, fun, fun in a Ricart Ford new T-Bird today."
At the end of the commercial he would strum a few bars on his guitar and shout, "WE'RE DEALIN!"
However in the past few years, the "videos" stopped and it would be a simple calm 10-second spot--something like "New Ford Taurus, $199 a month at Ricart Ford. We're
dealin'".
I guess that bulldrop got old (at last!)

North Carolina--but there is another car dealership who uses "we're dealin!" I can't think of there name right now though

Ok I have another bad commercial. My hometown peeps will know exactly what I'm talking about. There is a small church that advertises their Sunday morning services. Well I guess they decided to pick one of the Rev.'s better sermons and it goes like this:
"Get dope out yo vain and hope in yo brain. You'll neva get nowhere, smoking the pipe...neva. You want to get your lesson out you wanna be smart in school, get rid of the drugs."

Continuing the commercial:
"Get away from the "in" crowd, Get a close to God."
That commercial is so tired. It has been running forever. I know they have other sermons they can advertise to get people to come by their church.

I don't like the Lawyer ads either. I especially don't like when the lawyers have Hip-hop or R playing in the ad like we're supposed to believe that he listens to that. C'mon now. Then you actually go into the office and there is not ONE minority person working there.

I see those Reconnex ads they are so annoying. I mean if you can pay $50 to get your phone turned on..how about you pay the bill. I love daytime tv so i hate the malpractice commercials...they drive me crazy

Director--
I thought I was the only one who knew about that 1-800-GO-YAFFA commercial! Her voice grates away at my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard!!! That commercial definitely ranks #1 on my list!
I also hate the one where the man is fighting a sandwich out of his dog's mouth, then he eats it! GROSS!!!

Okay here in Atlanta, there is a black-owned chain of barbeque and seafood restaurants called 'This Is It'. They have pretty decent food might I add. However, there is a commercial that currently airs, which includes a DJ from the largest Black radio station here, and it shows a woman who is stressed out at work. The DJ is saying something along the lines of you don't have to worry about dinner after a stressful day because This Is It will help. Well after going through all this, it ends with the owners of the chain saying, "We got 'cho mama's back". I can't stand it !!

I first saw this commercial at about 2:30 in the morning with a bunch of my buddies. We were ROFL when we saw it. It was SO ridiculous. We still crack up when we see it now. Its like these people do not watch the commercials they make before they air them.

The Commercials Nikki Goes, "Whatever" at:
1. The Mentos commericials
2. The Old Navy commercials
3. The instant dinner commercials featuring Salley Jessie Raphael, Mr. T., Mr. Miagi, and Little Richard
4. The Burger King and Sprite commercials with the D.G.
Why don't I like these commercials? Because they are void of creativity. I can't stand #4 because the urban target just screams at you...why not choose a different a more creative approach?

They have a commercial here in Chicago for the law offices of Eric A. Martin and one of his first ones show a man being chased doen the street by a bulldozer ( the bulldozer signifying debt) and after running for a while Mr. Martin comes out holding up a big bible looking book entitled "The Law" and the steamroller backs off. Little do the public know this same lawyer got in trouble a little while ago for some wrongdoing. He has many more and they are all equally cheesy. When I hear his theme song " Like a breath of fresh air, Eric A. Martin & Assocs. I turn the channel.

I just thought of another commercial that I absolutely cannot stand (it's up there with the Mentos commercials)
I do not like those Apple Jacks commercials: "We Eat What We Like". Everytime I see those commercials, my skin crawls. I have yet to figure out what gets under my skin when those Apple Jacks commercials come on.
