I know. But it's still cute. And I would NOT wear it. But it made me giggle.

I got a question... if you go to the timberland website you can customize a pair of tims to the way you want them. Would it be inappropriate to put your letters on a pair of tims???

On the spongebob thing, I doubt there would be any lawsuit against the wearer since it's not used as advertising; HOWEVER s4g needs to take that down now because they ARE using it as advertising!

hell, they're making money off the likeness...that's a lawsuit right there

What happened to simple line jackets? You know the one's with your symbols, chapter name in greek letters, your individual line name and your line's name, the year you crossed, line number, crest/shield and maybe an unofficial mascot. These new jackets are way too busy for me- it's like reading a novel!
And a big fat WOW! to letters on your back- I've seen it done but I would never do it.

Why you got beef with stuff4greeks? They did our line jackets and they came out great, plus got done quickly.

LOL! I appreciate s4g...but that doesn't mean they can't be over the top sometimes.

Yeah, but if its what the customer requested, then is it really stuff4greeks fault? They trying to make that money and if someone wants something over-the-top, they are going to give it to them.
I blame the folks that want all that extra stuff.
I want a baseball style jacket from there, but it will be one of the simple ones, no designs on the back.

I think it would be best if you asked members of your own fraternity. Delta's (& other orgs') protocol is most likely different from Iota and vice versa.
I am sure your own prophytes, Starang or suntzu1963 are the better responders to your query. Some things are better asked behind closed doors, i.e. a private message.

thank you crimson... i was asking more of a general question. I see alot of guys and a few ladies from different orgs that have gotten them done. I just wanted to know what the general feeling was among the greeks on GC. But thanks for that.

I wouldn't do it for my own shoes but then I do not own Timberlands. But if it were a flip flop, stiletto, dress boot, etc. no I would not get it DST-ized.

When you say dress boot do you mean the tall ones with fur? My friend who is a delta received a pair of the tall fur boots that are Timberland that has her letters and number on them. She doesnt wear them out but i have seen her wear them. I know there was a guy who got black and gold leather tims and had his letters on it and people were mad at first but once they found out how he did it they ran to do it to. I dont see myself paying 200 for a pair of boots that have my letters because at the end of the day its still just a pair of tims...
I like the idea though.

Again when I answered, I spoke for ME, not all Deltas. And no, none of my shoes that I own or plan to buy in the future will be tricked out with DST on them. My shoes will not become like the cars on Pimp My Ride, lol.
A dress boot
versus a regular boot, i.e. Timberland, Lugz, etc.
If you like it, wonderful. Not everyone will. Trust me on that.
